Well who’s gonna pay for 60 year old Bobby Novosad to go clubbing at The Keg with the college kids who have no idea who he is now?

I tried listening not that long ago. It just sounds like an advertisement station at this point. My other complaint, as far as rock goes, is that you aren't getting new music from them at all. It's the same shite I listened to in the 90's and early 00's. That all fine and dandy but I'd like to listen to what is coming out.

I live in Dallas and listen to The Ticket (which is a Cumulus station) pretty regularly. I wonder how this will affect that them. I would be a shame to lose it.

The Ticket is the #1 station among 18-45 year old males in DFW. It'll be fine. If anything, getting out from Cumulus will be a good thing. Someone will buy them.

Unless ESPN gives up on 103.3 and buys The Ticket...

Is 102.5 in BR part of their group? Gawd I hope so...

quote:No, they are part of Clear Channel. Cumulus has 103.3, 94.1, 106.5, 1300 AM and 1460 AM.

Agreed. I wonder if Cumulus owned all of the stations that copied the name, "The Ticket". I hope "1310, The Ticket" can make the others stop using it now. I remember someone asked their on-air guys about it when the other stations around the country sprang up. They said they didn't like it, but no longer controlled that because Cumulus owned them.

The Ticket is extremely profitable. The problem is that Cumulus would be be very hesitant to sell off one of their most profitable stations. It might be their most profitable.
This move was inevitable, and the outlook for Cumulus does have some hope and still has a chance to survive. However, terrestrial radio is in really bad shape.
