Better known as Berta on "Two and a half Men", she died from cardiac arrest.

Berta was one of her most frequent roles as she helped run the household for Charlie and then Walden.

Her career found her in several movies over the years like "Erin Brokovich", "Edward Scissorhands", "K-Pax" and on TV with parts on "E/R", "L.A. Law".

Honestly thought she was a rough 47. She didn’t look half bad for an overweight 67 year old (health wise) when she was on the show

Didn't Megan Fox play her daughter in an episode?

Nope, she played her granddaughter. Her daughter appeared later in the same episode and tried to get her hooks into Charlie and Berta ran her off.

Her first sitcom series was HOT L Baltimore in ‘75. She played a hooker, which was a hugely controversial role for a mid-70’s sitcom.

IIRC, she had a kidney infection late last year that got in her blood and while in the hospital, she suffered a cardiac arrest.

Then she got moved into a long term care home; so I dont think she fared too well from the cardiac arrest.

RIP Mrs. Ferrell. I'll always remember you as Berta.

Yep, she was the latest in a long line of domestic helpers around the house who held things together and could sling a few barbs in the employers direction.

Hazel, back in the 60's held the Baxter household together and kept things running smoothly.

Mr. French, of "Family Affair" ran the household smoothly while Brian Keith was away on business, leaving his 2 nieces and a nephew in his care.

Florence, who was the feisty maid on "The Jefferson's" kept George in check with her witty comebacks and no-nonsense attitude.

Esther Rolle played Florida on the show "Maude", another sassy domestic who took no guff.

But Conchata Ferrell's portrayal of Berta was my favorite.
