He's been working off and on on writing a Community movie for like 7 years now. 
I'm sure he has some good ideas. He just has to know if Donald will be in or not, as I imagine the size of his role will be entirely up to him, and they would make the movie and script based on his level of commitment.

The first three seasons are just spectacular TV. It’s one of my favorite shows for those seasons.
