Common Casting for some of Christopher Nolan's films

Christopher Nolan has used a lot of the same actors for characters across his films. Is it because he finds people that are used to his style, and he also has a respect and can work with theirs? Is it just a matter of finding someone who works for him and he stays with it? Interested to see what the board's thoughts are on this.

Cilian Murphy isn't fair. He played the same character. That's like saying Bale works because he was in BB, TDK, and TDKR.

Yeah, if you have a great working relationship and you bounce off one another well, then why not recycle your actors. Tons of directors do this.

I don't like it personally. Ive talked a little bit about it before but it's limiting. Outside of the Batman movies, most Of Nolans recent movies are similar enough that it's distracting. Why not make new characters?
