Finished. Damn guys. This show and the S5 finale were superb. I had to instantly rewatch Daniel’s fight with Silver. Was stressing about Chosen too. So well done.

Could have used some more Mike Barnes imo, hope he's still there next season.

Kinda surprised Johnny didn't know of him, seems like Karate was important to him back then and Barnes was on the national scene.

Did they say in “the next karate kid” that it was in 1994? It could have been set in 1990 story wise

If so, Kreese could have gone in 1971 making Julie 18 when she met Myagi.

She finds out she was adopted and leaves in 1991 in search of her biological dad and bids Myagi farewell. During this time, Daniel would have been off to college and not known her.

Problem solved

In any case, Julie or not, I’m all in on Tory being his granddaughter now

I know cobra kai and "miyagi-fang" are in the tournament but what's the point of even having cobra kai in it now that the kids that were in cobra kai essentially gave up being in the dojo? in the end of the season, they are effectively on the same team at this point with silver being exposed and the cobra kai "brand" being shown to be a fraud etc.

TLDR: just not sure there is a cobra kai vs. miyagi fang at this point if the cobra kai dojo is now defunct.

I'm not 100% clear on this thought, but it may have something to do with Kreese, the sensei's granddaughter, and some of her students taking the Cobra Kai name to compete in the world tournament.

The Mary Sue-Ing ramp up of that little POS twerp Kenny was so unbelievably annoying that it almost ruined this season for me. I hated that kid so damn much.

Johnny definitely carries this show. Did anyone else notice when he was googling how to take care of a baby, as soon as he types "how to..." his previous searches auto-filled and one of them was "how to tell a kid you're banging his mom"

and Danny's best line was when Johnny told him he learned something from "goggle" (Google)... Danny says "I didn't even know you knew how to goggle"

That was great stuff. I laughed my arse off this season and loved every minute. Kreese’s big escape at the end topped it all.

Late to the party as usual but loved the whole season. William Zabka has been gold the whole series.

Loved the scene in the Mexican bar where he scornfully referred to "MMA grabass bullshite."

And the scene with Amanda where she says "Johnny, no offense...but strategy isn't exactly your forte. You're more of a...blunt instrument."

Johnny (sincerely): "thank you."

Laughrd my arse off at Johnny all the time.

The ending sucked. I guess season 6 will take place in prison. Johnny, Mike, and Chozen will be charged with breaking and entering and assault. There they have to team up and fight against Silva’s gang of inmates.

Of course Daniel stays out of jail because he’s a little bitch.

finished it last night. I know this show is absurd but it is so good. Imagine if you told Ralph and Billy in 1984 that they would be making a five season show about their characters almost 40 years in the future.

I don't like how they advanced the Kenny kid.

Also, how good did Amanda look in that last episode when they went out on the town?

Yeah, Kenny's character is a punk bitch. Almost as bad as the Korean kid. Almost.
