The only difference that I see is that Bale is really not that good of an actor. He's not terrible, mind you, but he kinda has that forced feeling like Keanu but not as terrible.

The preview thread reminded me of another actor that is Top 3-4

DiCaprio. He's another that I'll go watch for the actor, not necessarily for the character.

If you don't think Bale is a good actor, then you haven't seen Rescue Dawn

Reign of Fire (badass accent)...

not much of a stretch for a dude born in Wales...

i, personally, do not buy this other bullshite about Bale feeling forced. The Machinist? Metroland? spot on as Patrick Bateman. The Batman is intense. Do you mistaken intensity for forced acting?

as SFP said he has a plastic face. he's easily believable as an a-hole rich guy or a stoic hero, but it's not very believable when he tries to show emotion. he's a good actor, but people on this board vastly overrate him

Christian Bale has the best ability in hollywood to adjust and form an accent. Although his voice as Batman was annoying, he is still an AMAZING actor.
