When you see this what movie from your childhood does it remind you of?

For me it was Space Camp for some reason.

When I first saw this at my house, I thought Baton Rouge was on the map and that we were rich. I had seen it at my grandparent's house in Houston. But, when I saw it in BR, I thought it was a big deal. I was 8 in '83.

There is an HBO bumper (think it was HBO) that I have vivid memories of, but have never found.

It was animated and a little boy was playing with a superman action figure in his room. He makes the figure fly around a ball. Then some other stuff happens that I can't remember.

Terminator 2
Lethal Weapon

Although I think I remember this intro more vividly.

It reminds me of perfecting my ability to watch a rated R movie at just the right volume that made it possible to hear if my parents were coming down the hall towards the den.

shite, do people even have rooms they call the den anymore?

We had good as kids back then. The kid's shows these days are just horrible. I grew up on Fraggle Rock and still watch it today if it came back on.

nothing specific.

Just reminds me of sitting in my parent's living room getting excited to watch a new movie!
