It's a pretty insane show. Will win all the awards.

There isn't a show on now with the depth and story made like a horror film.

I love horror movies and this is scarier than anything I've ever seen.

True Detective?

Id be curious to know what its rating was after the first season. Season 2 was so bad it basically killed the series for a while and dragged the ratings down.

But season 1 was one of the best single seasons ever.

I was like “When did they make that into a show and why haven’t I heard of it?”

I was hooked after the first episode. Too bad it's just a miniseries.

I don't know about that, but there is always recency bias when new shows come out and catch a following.

I love the show but don’t really get the people who say it’s scary.

More like IMDB users are a bunch of idiotic children that rate a whole damn tv after 3 episodes. HBO doesn't have to do anything.

Finally watched th first episode last night. Definitely not a show to binge. Too much... stuff to digest. Anything involving radiation poisoning and nuke disasters is disturbing stuff.

And I’ll make an amendment for worst way to die.

Lethal radiation poisoning. Just put a bullet in my brain before the Sx really take effect.

Yea I wouldn't say scary. Like the poster above used, I think disturbing is the right word.

"If you fly directly over that core, I promise you, by tomorrow morning you'll be begging for that bullet."

Legasov wasn't just being dramatic, was he? The thing about radiation poisoning that's so cruel is that you go through that "begging for the bullet" stage, then you seem to be getting better, which is what we saw when the firefighters were in the hospital smoking and playing cards, having a good time. Then the true horrors start, as HBO so graphically showed us.

I hate that the filmmakers knocked this one out of the park, but it's only five episodes to savor.

A year and a virus late.

Holy shite, this is quality entertainment.

I would watch an episode and want to watch it again. I love all the main characteres, the ambiance, the storytelling.

I have no idea how accurate it is...who does? Given Soviet secrecy but it doesn't scream of false notes.

I mean, who cares about this rating? I know its old but what exactly does this rating mean?

It really only matters if you believe that LOST was not in the top 250 and Dragonballz is

Just finished it myself. Really liked it. I would put episode 4 up against any episode of tv ever made. Just incredible stuff. But, I thought the last episode fell flat.
