Hollywood overestimates how much chicks will spend to watch movies just because it stars chicks.

Lucy definitely was and there's no argument about Diaz coming off There's Something About Mary. Lucy was THE hot Asian chick. Personally I was always more of a Ming Na guy.

Having read a few more reviews about this movie it is pretty easy to see where it went wrong.
Charlie's Angels, from the original TV series to the Drew Barrymore movies, was always a tongue in cheek romp. It never took itself too seriously.
Making a Charlie's Angels with more serious messages is like making an episode of Scooby Doo where Scooby gets rabies and Shaggy has to put him down. It ain't what people want to see thank you.
It could have been conservative messages instead of progressive ones and it still would have sucked. When we watch Charlie's Angels we want some comedy, a little bit of action, and some sexy women. That formula made the franchise a hit... with men and women.
When you get right down to it, and a lot of Hollywood types don't get this, we really don't want our expectations to be subverted thank you. If I'm going to see an action comedy I don't want to discover that the flick in question is actually a drama about a family dealing with their daughter dying from cancer.

Yeah...Elizabeth Banks is definitely not the brightest bulb in the SJW batch. All it takes is a quick glance at his filmography to see that Spielberg has made two very solid films featuring people of color called The Color Purple and Amistad.

Kristen Steward is likeable. Her Howard Stern interview and Hot Ones episode were good.
The previews for the movie looked terrible. Those girls had no chemistry.
