Isn't Gein who inspired the Leatherface character, or am I thinking of someone else? I also think he was the inspiration of Lou from The Killer Inside Me book. Someone correct or confirm me on this please.

Gein has supposedly influenced the characters of Leatherface, Buffalo Bill from Silence of the Lambs, Norman Bates from Psycho, Otis from Rob Zombie movies, and probably a laundry list of others.
i think it's mostly a marketing ploy.

Hunnam was perfectly cast in SOA.
Unfortunately, every single thing I've seen with him other than that exposes him as a horrible actor.
I really want to like the guy, but it's bad.

Start with F&G though, if you've never seen that one. It's one of the GOAT TV series (and only one season).
