One thing I hate about streaming, how was I to know that was a season finale last night. They could have started with a simple, And now the Season Finale of Chad Powers.
Girl was big mad. I can see being mad, but she acted like a bratty child.

I really like the show, but with no football, I don’t see the need to continue to watch another season which will basically turn into a bad romantic drama with a guy in make up. I kept thinking we would get more football before it was over. Nope.

Episode 3 has plenty of football in it. Him clutching the ball in end zone was great. The play to win the game. Going to the locker room after the game. There will be more football. The main premise is everyone ponders how they could have done things better. It's human nature. Everyone would like a second chance. I am enjoying the show. The real sports figures and the SEC involved make it even more entertaining.

That was the season finale? Damn. Shot only kind of hit the fan. He blackmailed Ricky into staying in the team. But the back up QB is hating. I enjoy this show. Hope it comes back eventually.

Why do you want fake football? I get the need for some set up but all the matters is the build up and the after math of the games.
I can get unlimted real football all season. I watch the show for situational comedy.

Good grief. How many would have started watching this show if it was about a guy putting on a disguise to get his job at the CPA firm back?

Not only that, but if they want to do any filming during a real game, they will likely have to wait until the 2026 season. The last scene was filmed at halftime of a Georgia game last season. So, it probably would be 2027 at the earliest before a new season premieres.
And the show hasn’t been officially renewed yet either.

Man I was actually liking this show, but it seems they wrote themselves into an impossible hole on that last episode

I thought the random bar bang was gonna be an investigative reporter or something like that and that’s how he gets foundout, but now that it’s coach’s mom, how the fvck does any of this survive?!?
The coach can’t have him stay on the team after he banged his wife. The whole love storyline with the daughter assistant coach is dead after he banged her mom.
It seems everything they were building is now done, right?

Yeah I agree. I think they went for the shock value of sleeping with the coach’s wife rather than thinking about what would be next.
I kind of hate the cliffhanger for the finale. It’s like they’re just putting it on pause to see if we get another season or not, pretty weak.
Regarding the lack of football criticism. The scenes we did get, looked solid but nothing special. I wouldn’t want to watch half the runtime go to these games. Just go watch an actual football game I guess?

Really liked the show but it feels… sloppy? Like the laughs are just a bit too on the nose and the plot is just a bit too wonky. Things are built up but dropped, like his blood at that house he was going to rob to get his prosthetics back.
Maybe that comes back in season 2. I hope so because given his criminal history his blood would definitely lead authorities to him but I feel like that happened several weeks before the season finale and nothing came of it. And no real crime was committed either so all that build up was kind of wasted. And his injured hand amounted to nothing. He played the next day and they won.
Again, very enjoyable show but things like that seem like missed opportunities.
