Yep.

Actual fact, the look of Race Bannon was based on Hollywood Star Jeff Chandler:

King of the Hill
Starring:
Rainn Wilson as Hank
John C. Reilly as Bill
Brad Pitt as Boomhauer
Woody Harrelson as Dale

Also even though the video game has a much bigger following vs the old, short lived cartoon- The Legend of Zelda.

Bingo!!! Hopefully they can do better than He-man and GI Joe. GI Joe part 2 was actually much better than 1. I actually liked most of the Transformers even with the horrible human characters.

I would love to see a BraveStarr and the Adventures of Galaxy Rangers as movies.

In this crazy arse world of Diversity I'm not sure a white single father is what the focus groups want to see. I could see "Race Bannon" being a person of color..

Come on, man. The great majority of movies have a white male lead. That’s not going to change. Even in roles that would normally be cast for Asian or other minorities, they have put a white male or female those roles. So don’t give me this woo is me crap.

Any way, Race Bannon should be a white man. Lol. It what he was in that cartoons. I just like to see them keep characters true to their origin.

LMAO!!! I don’t know why I didn’t think of Voltron. I don’t think they will make Voltron because Power Rangers is similar.

I watched the Netflix Voltron but I still think the original is the best.

I would preferer it stay to the original theme. Unfortunately the world we live in isn't they way many would like for it to be. Hell, even the Academy award just created an affirmative action program to be considered for an Oscar.

The movie industry has had a long history of not sticking to original content. For example, Kung Fu was supposed to feature an Asian main character. Bruce Lee was considered but they wanted a more acceptable character. That’s my David Carradine got the job. For a very long time, origins characters have been changed to appease white viewers.

I’d rather have original characters remain the same and not altered. I just don’t like the picture you are painting that society is against white lead characters because the majority of shows still have white lead and supporting actors.

I don't like the picture I'm painting either but it's slowly occurring. Superhero movies have several example. There's been a movement for a "007" character of color..Even "Dr. Who" is now a woman...

I guess since white people have been used in minority roles for decades I guess times are dictating payback.

It's happening my friend
