It’s still $18 mil behind Wonder Woman before inflation is considered.

Brie had nothing to do with it. You could have put a muppet in her role and done as good, prob much better.

You keep telling yourself that buddy.

By the end of this year, she'll be the (at least) 3 BILLION DOLLAR WOMAN at the box office.

Eh...it's a fair point. Do you really think if it were someone else, say Emily Blunt, that it wouldn't be doing this well?

No it's not.

Maybe, maybe not. What if it was written by Markus and McFeely? What if it was directed by the Russo brothers?

GCT and DB are going to have to pillow fight it out over who can be Brie's boot-licker cuck. I don't think she wants two. Maybe she does. Who knows.

So ridiculous...

quote:

One person who certainly agrees with the actress is Steve Ruppel, a Wisconsin Marvel fan who’s now seen the film so many times that he’s actually broken a Guinness World Record. Apparently, the record for most viewings of Captain Marvel was 104, which Steve passed after seeing the movie a whopping 116 times.

Apparently, the most showings he did in one day was seven and to prevent himself from getting bored, he would “pay attention to things in the background and even pick up on details like what day the movie actually takes place.”

Pretty sure that's cable based on how many times he's said he "just saw it" in different threads.

You're out of your mind if you think Brie is the draw of this movie. It's a Marvel film that won't be on DVD before Endgame. People think it's necessary viewing before Endgame. Really not complicated.

He thinks Brie will push Endgame to the $2 billion mark even though its predecessor cleared $2 billion and that was on a down cliffhanger.

I agree, it's part of the Marvel machine. Put Brie in a different blockbuster and let's see if it makes a billion.

She's outperforming every MCU "cold" origin story ever made.

The higher numbers probably also reflect the momentum and growth among fans the MCU has had since it started.

I myself was late to the MCU train and didn’t see a film in theaters until The Avengers, so I missed a few of the origins.
