We needed massive screenshots of this...why?

CAPTAIN MARVEL is tracking to open anywhere between $125 million to $145 million. Some believe it could hit $150M, says @PamelaDayM
They are giving away tickets
If you spend $50 or more at some hispter clothing store(popular), you get 2 free tickets, immediately sent in email, and those will also be counted as tickets sold.
I also wonder how many tickets Marvel and Disney themselves buy up.
They are desperate to make Captain Marvel a hit at box office

You've tried to backup a silly claim without using anything of substance
I qualified everything with a reasoned response, with my opinions. That is substance, given the questions and the subject matter. I have been as direct as possible, and answered every single question.
What objectively qualifies as a substantive response to an art critique, do you think?

Are they more desperate for it to succeed than you are for it to fail? I tend to lean towards the one who isn't making billions, but is afraid of a little white girl.

It's a Marvel movie, it doesn't need any help

Garbage and Hole
A 90s theme, and Garbage and Hole are the bands this person focused on? Surely they used more iconic bands than Garbage and Hole...

If anyone is interested, the first of Captain Marvel’s two post credit scenes is online (the Endgame tie in one a la Antman/Civil War).
Thanks for the head's up.

I have to admit that I'll get some schadenfreude from any lack of success with this movie. I usually go into superhero and action movies hoping for the best, but the "I dare you not to love it" faction has put a preemptive bad taste in my mouth.
I don't recall anyone setting these landmines for Theron's Furiosa or even Wonder Woman. With the latter it seemed like the feminist explosion took place as soon as people actually saw the movie, not prior. And not that Warner didn't do their part to stoke the feminism flames, but they didn't do it on the level that we've seen with Captain Marvel. Of course it helps that Gal Gadot and Charlize Theron know how to work the audience when they're off camera.

All of this.

Feminism didn’t even register with me before or after seeing either of those two films and they were among the best films I saw in the years they were released.
It’s like they know it’s going to be questionable or controversial so they feel they have to preempt it’s potential negative reviews in order to typecast said negative reviews/reviewers so they can say “See, I told you so.”
And of it does well, then it’s just viewed as a confirmation of their SJW position.
Either way if it performs well or not, they can save face.

WW is highly overrated. It had both good and bad elements.
The lead was fantastic. Gal did a fantastic job. Very charismatic. The protagonist supporting cast was also very good.
The story was okay. The action was okay. The effects were okay.
The villain(s) were fricking terrible. From casting to story to execution to CGI. Nothing good about them at all.

Cable from Deadpool? I thought Brolin did a great job with Cable.

This is spot on and very well put

I agree but to be fair, you can use this description with most comic book films

Overall, it was a C+ for me. I enjoyed 85% of the movie with the ending being the worst part but not bad enough to ruin it all. It was fun for what it was, which for DC/WB made it a win.
For good or bad, Marvel/Disney is held to a different standard because of their past success. I honestly don't care about whatever agenda the movie claims to have or what agenda random nobodies project on the movie for their own satisfaction. I try not to let it get me jaded and ruin my experience.

quote:I disagree. Marvel has had as much success with their villains as they have their heroes. Obviously, there were some misses. Age of Ultron and Ant-Man (Ironman clone) come to mind. And Ironman 3 wasn't a good film, period. But the rest, IMO, were great villains.

If we want to go further back, you have Nolan's batman which was a solid 2 for 3... Spiderman which is hit or miss... Watchmen had an awesome "villain"... and then DC/WB. They're the only ones with a truly terrible track record.

What villains are you talking about? Marvel has been heavily criticized for having lame villains. Thanos, and Loki are strong, but who else?

Mandarin.
Those corporations that hated Iron Man.
That corporation that hated Ant-Man.
That government that hated Captain America.
That government that hated Hulk.
Mandarin.
Seriously, The Vulture is their best villain since Loki.
