This is the 90's and Fury says he is an Agent of SHIELD... They weren't calling it that name until the end of Iron Man which is after that.
That scene has been blown up for a while thanks to the TV shows. It can be "explained" as Colson simply setting up the joke all along.

And having it devour four Kree was silly.

Just wait until Rocket meets Goose.... (In the comics, the second he sees Chewie, he starts shooting, screaming, "You let a FLERKIN on my ship?!!")

She went from struggling to punch her way through a few Kree to a surgical strike against an enemy armada within minutes

I think this is why they stressed the AI Scene where she realizes that she has been “fighting with one hand tied behind her back” due to being limited by the device on her neck.

It’s like a light switch flipped on for her and she went HAM

Such a great moment.

I enjoyed it.

I won’t see it again and it doesn’t have a ton of rewatch value, but it was worth the $30 I spent on tickets.

I honestly had forgotten about Ronin and the Blood Diamond dude so it was cool to see them again.

ETA: The cockpit joke by the bro pilot and the foot up the arse jokes were the funniest parts of the movie to me for whatever reason. I have the mind of a teenager, clearly.

I just got out, there were 4 of us in a 3D IMAX showing...

Like others have said it’s middle of the pack. The scenes where Larsen isn’t going HAM are pretty boring, the acting by her is very wooden in some scenes.

The jokes were lame and the songs weren’t the best choices, I liked the Skrull twist though and Mendelsohn was awesome. It opens up so many plot holes and questions in the MCU now for me

The scenes at the end were pretty badass, she’s essentially Superman when she wants to be it will be fun to see what Thanos throws at her.

The mid credits scene sent me from 6 to midnight.

Worst part of the entire movie is Larsen’s lack of an arse. Damn shame to put a woman in a tight body suit with an arse that actually manages to go inward.

Renaming Chewie as Goose was pretty cringeworthy.

Some 90s stuff was forced (pinball machine being in a space ship) and the girl power stuff got a bit excessive towards the end (showing all her younger versions getting back up and staring into the camera) but other than that I thought it was awesome. GOOSE made the movie. Larson was a tad dry but was better than I thought she was going to be. One kid tried to clap at the end and nobody joined, it made me happy

I don't know what that has to do with girl power. Her flashback on those memories were that she was human and every time she failed she got back up because she was human. I think some of ya'll try too hard to throw politics and SJW stuff up against the wall when there isn't any. Just enjoy the movie for what it is...a movie.

Everything she fell doing was a male dominated sport. Trust me I don’t have a problem with any of that stuff but the staring into the camera just kind of made it seem like a corny commercial. Still thought the movie was awesome though

Looked like a homemade Nike commercial.

The music was ok but when I’m Just a Girl started playing during a major fight scene it took me out of it and felt cliched and forced. Overall enjoyable but like others have said it’s middle of the pack.

Stan Lee tribute was a real nice touch. Wasn’t expecting that

My read on the Skrulls are that Talos’ daughter will grow up to be Veranke and represent the big bad in future films. Made a point for Talos to tell his wife to cover her eyes while he was killing the kree soldiers and she still managed to look as her father was shot. Feels like they were planting the seeds of something

I’m Just a girl shouldn’t have been on the soundtrack. It came out in very late 1995 and the movie was suppose to take place at some point in the spring/summer of 1995. Only Happy when it rains was an early 1996 release.
