That's usually the argument when someone thinks she's a terrible actress. They think it must be because she's a liberal feminist that the "right wingers" hate her. I just think she's a bad actress and apparently a bitch.

That's the argument because they can't defend the movie on its own merits, or her acting ability in general.

Vyonne Strahovski would have crushed that role. She's getting a bit long in the tooth but Katee Sackhoff could have pulled it off too.
I think if the rumors are true, and I put very little credence in clickbait rumors, and she does get shown the door it would be because her costars evidently can't stand her. Feige runs a tight ship at Marvel and the Golden Rule appears to be "thou shalt get along with thy fellow performers."

Can't stand Brie Larson but I'm hoping that a new writing and directing team in The Marvels improves her just like it improved Thor with Taika. Thor became beloved after Ragnorak.
Also Brie Larson has 10/10 tits so that's her one redeeming quality.

I'd like to see the comic storyline play out where Peter Parker crushes hard on Carol.
Larson can be charming at times, and that interaction with Tom Holland could be cute if done right.

A few problems with CM:
1. The movie/Character is shoehorned into the MCU storyline at this point, then accomplishes nothing.
2. Modern interpretation of the character is wooden (Because it's a character aimed at women, which are usually bland to allow the female viewer to imprint themselves, see 50 Shades and Twilight).
3. Brie is kinda a count.
4. The amnesia plot is a really bad story
5. It retcons a lot of the known history to make Carol look better.

Captain Marvel is the only Marvel movie that I have not rewatched and will likely never watch again. It was a chore to get through it once.
