but this would be a very good start for a movie that everyone thinks is going to struggle.
It would.

I will be waiting for a few weeks

Opening week you will have 2 groups of people:

1) People who will hate the movie before they see it, no matter what
2) People who will love the movie before they see it, because they hate the people that hate it

After the initial wave, we will start getting some real reviews. I'll decide then

dude are you ok? seriously? you popped in and started whining and bitching about RC's post - seems like you saw

people spout shite off and then u just joined in because it aligned with your agenda.

and yet you are guilty of this -

Yet you were happy to do it because he said what u wanted to hear.
which is pretty much every reply to any thread you read.

but you lack the ability to self diagnose and admit it, so I am prepared for the "high school" insults and name calling I am sure your going to reply with.

Who knows, maybe the Chinese will really enjoy Red Hulk. But as for how Disney has treated its prior black lead actors in China …

Has Marvel ever explained how Sam, who although fit, has no Super Soldier Serum or any other "powers" is able to do the same stuff as Cap, and has a snowball's chance in hell against Hulk?

They'll explain that as soon as y'all explain why you never cared Tony Stark survived dozens upon dozens of hits and crashes that would have instantly liquefied him inside his armor.

Have you never read the comics?

There is a simple explanation, but I feel if you are going to make smug inferences, you should do a little legwork

You mean the comics where non powered heroes still fight powered heroes?

Never mind that they never once gave any explanation about how Stark survivesin the movies which is what people are complaining about w/Sam all the sudden as it relates to his survival in the movies.

Which ones? For a while there he had his suit filled with that nasty gel.

Sure.

So?

Are all superpowers the same?

They literally explain it in the first movie.

When he was trying unsuccessfully to fly he mentioned increasing shock absorbers

But even then, he had to create a brand new special suit to fight the Hulk. Do you remember that?

Happened in the comics and the movies.

Because Hulk would liquefy Tony. . .even WITH all his fancy shock absorbers.

This thread and every thread about this film.
Pretty much any thread about a Marvel superheroine in a film.

The comics do a pretty good job of pitting heroes and villains against each other with similar power levels. And when there is a disparity, such as when Batman punched out Superman in The Dark Knight Returns, they went out of their way to set up a situation that perfectly fit the STORY and made it somewhat believable. I won't spoil it for you, but go read the comic. It makes sense.

But in general, Daredevil fights street hoods and slightly powered strong men. He's not going toe to toe with Juggernaut or other really powerful villains.

The problem Marvel has with Cap is that the whole concept around Captain America and what he's capable of is because of the Super Soldier Serum. Hell, they took the wimpy dude in the army and transformed him in to Cap.

Handing the Shield over to Sam, a regular dude, cheapens everything Cap was. UNLESS they do a good job of explaining it in-world with smart writing.

Which is why I asked if they had. I caught enough of the series reviews to pass on watching it. So I don't know.

But I guess just like the senator, I need to "DO BETTER".

What Iron Man needs to fight the Hulk:

What Mackie's Cap needs:

I like Mackie tons, and love the idea of Wilson as Cap

But they should have given him the serum, if they were going to go with the Red Hulk here.

That part is fair.

And I'm guilty of it. It's just become too gratuitous.

Heroes of Captain America's power level are a dime a dozen. I can understand people thinking that Sam Wilson is lacking severely in Cap's unwavering heart and leadership ability, but Captain America was never about physical power. Sam can't fill that leadership role. No one can. Captain America is to Marvel as Superman is to DC.

Sam struggling to take on that massive mantle and going up against an unbeatable foe is worth a story. It's just not a Steve Rogers story.
