Can anyone tell me why the MCU has gotten itself 2 years out into the future?

Was just reading today while catching up on this Phase, I may or may not go see F4 depending on reviews. But the current movies take place in 2027?? Why? What’s the point
Just a simple question, probably a dumb one
I havent seen an MCU film since Guardians 3, but I read along in hopes that Doomsday is good.
Why are they making movies that take place in 2027? Apparently that’s where Thunderbolts leaves off

They can’t even keep their own continuity/cannon from one movie/show to the next. Everything they’ve done since End Game doesn’t make much sense.

Endgame took place in 2024 or 2023 because of the five year time jump, so it's probably just going along those lines

I would guess they want all of the events in these movies to be taking place in close temporal proximity to the events of a movie that will come out in 2027
Meaning the events in Thunderbolts is happening weeks before whatever movie it is and not 2 years before.
now movies start and stop like that all the time and they just don’t talk about what year it is, but I also expect the FF4 to make some kind of time
jump so they have to pick a year I guess

I mean, it’s a pretty easy explanation, they need the Thunderbolts to be established as a team working together for over a year by the time the Fantastic Four arrive and we launch into the new generation of Avengers movies

Because of the events of Infinity War and Endgame.

There are hundreds of millions of reasons

Outside of Spider-Man and Black Widow, I haven’t seen or had interest in seeing anything else after Endgame
