Cameron is an a-hole but what kind of person asks someone for their autograph in the first place? I never understood the autograph seeker mentality. Why not just put a sign on your forehead that says "I'm a loser?"

He's paid by the paparazi to ask for the autograph. This is done to hold up the star for longer so they can take more pictures.

I don't think I've ever actively sought an autograph since I got Mickey Mouse's in Disney World.

they are both assholes. but the autograph-seeker does have a point, i mean why doesn't he take a quick second to sign it!

Imagine if you were asked to stop what you were doing 25 times a day for 10 seconds, every day, for the rest of your life to sign your name for a complete stranger or take a picture with them.

Being a film director means you have to stop and sign autographs?

He couldhave been a little nicer declining but if he doesn't want to sign autographs for a grown man then that's his business.

If you watch it again, notice that James Cameron just declines the guy at first. Then there is a cut in the editing to Cameron telling the "fan" off. I would venture to say that the "fan" is working with the paparazzi and the part that was cut out was him antagonizing Cameron.

Is the part where he snaps not in that link? Looks like he handled that douche okay to m. So, he said a curse word. It looked like the fan snapped to me and probably staged this, and I think Cameron played off of him well, "You said ****sucker not me." Screw that TMZ nutjob, he was just an attention whore, probably not even a fan, "An 8 year old could follow your plot."

I would've said a lot worse things than Cameron did. He has the right to refuse an autograph. If I said no and someone kept pursuing the autograph I'd have said some mean shite.

How many people just happen to have an Avatar poster on them while walking around the airport? Definitely seems like the paparazzi set it up to get more footage.

That really does not sound all that bad.

Edit: People appreciating what I do for a living so much that they want to share in it in a very small way. Oh, the horror.

Without receiving a fee? Because that guy, if he's not a plant, is just going to turn around and sell it.

But it looks like he's a plant--otherwise there wouldn't be a film of the entire thing.
