How so? I mean, there's 2 parents and 3 kids, but I don't really see any similarities beyond that.
Technically Malcolm in the Middle had 4 kids (and then 5), but I see what you mean focusing on the main 3
I see it a little bit
Dewey-Luke: Have smart moments on occasions but normally doing dumb things.
Malcolm-Alex: Both middle childs, both very intelligent, but sort of isolated in their family.
Reese-Haley: Oldest and ditzy in their own gender-specific ways

Yeah, I didn't include Francis just because he's never really featured much.

A series showing Gus rise in the El Pollo business would work
Gus was the best character hands down. Great acting.

I'm on board with Better Call Saul, but Walter White needs to be left alone. I'm afraid for whatever they try to come up with because the expectations will be extremely high.

will we just get an entirely new script that centers around Walter White/Jesse Pinkman again?
and just how would that work? Weekend at Bernie's angle?
Maybe they could use the Fringe angle. Walt & Jesse in an alternate universe.

The sequel has already been made. Malcolm in the Middle is Walter White after having survived his wounds and enrolled in the Witness Protection program..

Not sure why Cranston would say this. That story, or any involvement he would have, is over. If they brought it back as a sequel it would ruin the entire series for me. And if they were to make a prequel, what would they show? Him and Flynn making breakfast together all the time as a faux-happy New Mexican family? It could be like a 70s sitcom I guess.
I think he was just having some fun with the interviewer.

Christopher Masterson lived down the street from me when I was living in Hollywood Hills in the early to mid 2000's. Went to a BBQ of his.
As far as "bringing back" BB, I would love to see more of the back story on Gus and Mike. You could have scenes from the other points of view and maybe have Walt and Jessie pop in every once in a while, but it wouldn't be about them. They would have some lines and it would be fun to see them again, but it would be more of the reactions from Gus and especially Mike
