re: Briefly describe your idea for a movie plot/script

Wrote a short story about talented but awkward college student artist who buys a sketchbook from this mysterious shop, and finds the sketches he draws become real...with a twist, and a catch (not realized until later.)

Initially he uses the powers for positive things.

He draws the object of his affection getting a spot on the cheer squad...and she does.

He draws the QB throwing the last second Hail Mary touchdown to the WR...and it happens.

He starts to believe it.

Then he gets mugged, and draws the thugs getting mangled by a truck...and they do.

He realizes the power and becomes obsessed. He begins to force reality with his sketches.

With each page his sketches get more, and less, realistic.

He sketches himself with a new car and a pretty girl in the front seat...an ATM spits out its contents.

Long story short it spirals out of control and the sketches get darker and more extreme. as the pages dwindle down, he becomes maddened and his art starts to falter. Sloppier, cruder.

Well...you get the idea. I won't spoil it

I mean...I'll expand.

So, imagine a mix. Rich families with generational wealth and yachts. Middle class families trying to imitate wealth through over leveraged purchases and renting, and working class families who are working on a bunch of yachts/ regattas in...some sea.

And all the parents have disaffected teens, just hanging out, tying to fit in, some working with their parents.

It's some big business deal. Parents need their kids out of their hair, they are sent off with some adult (with training...thinking Patrick Warburton). On a smaller boat and jet skis.

Working class kids (most of them) go along as the help.


A few stay back with the main boats.

While they are gone, some swarthy (think Somali-esque) pirates take over the main fleet.

Kids stuck on board send out distress call before radio is destroyed, but the only ones close enough to receive are the teens (and Patrick Warburton)

They try to figure out what to do when More Somali pirates approach them. Patrick (called Dirk) tries to negotiate with them, but is seriously wounded when they attack. Teens manage to take them out with signal flares and gaff hooks and jet skis.

Secure a substantial weapon stache.

Then, decide that they (with injured dirk's guidance) will save their parents.

I haven't mapped it all out but...in my head it's pretty badass.

Find someone living a highly interesting life and cinematize a week in that life. No actors, just real life shite.

Jack the Ripper was actually a demon that possessed various people and drove them to murder.

He was sealed away through a ritual, and the vessel that contained him smuggled to America, first to New Orleans (where the vessel was unleashed, the demon did a stint as the Axe-Man of New Orleans before being sealed away again.) and then to Baton Rouge where he was buried in the sewers in the Downtown area.

Now, when the vessel is disturbed after a construction accident, Jack...Is...Back.


Also, it's a musical

Then it is revealed that one of the Jack the Ripper demon's disguises is to personify Rob Zombie, thus some White Zombie music for the musical. Also thus, the girl base guitar player for Zombie owning a voodoo bar in New Orleans.

it's not a script or plot, but merely a few scenes...



a wealthy world elitist, who grew up as a hurricane party enthusiast, has developed a time travel process, and on the side has procured nuclear bombs from world criminal organizations...


So given his love of hurricane parties, he plans to stand on his mansion balcony and watch as he himself and a large portion of the earth are annihilated in a nuclear blast administered by his team (who are killed also)

He smiles on the balcony with his drink as he sees his death coming, because he knows the nuclear blast cannot destroy time, and he knows he has set the time travel process to go back one week earlier, after the blast to being one week before the blast, and he and the rest will still be alive.

For one, he wants to know if he will be able to remember the blast that happens a week after the time travel process brings them back.
