I may have yelled the word LEGION louder than you want to in a normal adult person business meeting.
So yeah, the headline today is...
HBO Max has put me to work on a LEGION OF SUPERHEROES TV SHOW.
At the moment it is being developed as an adult animated show. Can you tell I am jumping up and down about this? I’ve been working on it for a while and last week I was sent to the next phase.
“Hey, bald dude! Didn’t you just last newsletter tell us that you were anti-bragging? That you had somehow matured out of bragging? How is this not bragging?”
That’s an excellent question, voice in my head. but I’m a die hard Legion fan! I know Legion news can be… infrequent. So many diehard Legion fans follow me so I asked special permission to update all of you on this project in development.
Facts: its very early goings but I can tell you This will be an adaptation of the Legion of superheroes that Ryan Sook and I have been working on the last few years.

It better bring it, because Prime Video's Invincible will be hard to beat.

Hopefully it's not "adult" just for the sake of being "adult". I'm an adult and I like plenty of animated series that aren't strictly marketed towards adults. I'm not extremely familiar with the Legion of Superheroes other than the old animated series and brief appearances in other media, but I don't remember them being "adult".

Who needs a duo? Arm-Fall-Off Boy can literally fist himself.
I was ok with Bendis's Legion. I'm never a fan of any version of the Legion where Jo/Tinya aren't a thing but I made peace with that long ago.
Many of the reworked origins were more palatable than I expected.

More woke programming, yay. Can't wait to hear about Bendis' new Lightning Lad...
Nope, not that one.
Nope, not that one either.
That's the one, with the two moms.

Hell yeah!
This was always one of my favorite comics growing up. I have probably 6-7 years of issues.
I hope they do this right.
