Ok, I stand corrected. Poisoning the kid was big as well. I always thought Walt cared for jesse - maybe I'm wrong.

I'm convinced Jesse will OD. It's only fitting.

I keep seeing talk of spoilers. Time to abandon internet until the end of the show.

I binge watched seasons 1-5A last fall and I was Team Walt all the way through.
Then this week I went back and re-watched seasons 4 and 5 only to get ready for this episode and I absolutely hate him now. His actions over the last two seasons have been extremely evil. Very difficult to sympathize with for me. I can absolutely understand those who are still on his side though.
This show has so many layers it's unbelievable. Premiere did not disappoint.

He used to. I think he still "cares" about him in that it would be preferable not to kill him. But I don't think he'd hesitate to kill him and then justify it by saying "it had to be done."
He's been doing that a lot lately.

The neighbor's reaction in the flash forward leads me to believe Walt fakes his death.
First thing I thought. That's a "you look like you've seen a ghost" moment if I've ever seen one.

The entire point of the show is the reversal of characters in Walt and Jesse. Jesse is now trying to be remorseful for what he's done.
I was thinking about this last night. At what point do you think their characters were in equilibrium?
BTW, Walt isn't weak. He uses the perception people have of him to his advantage.

Good question. I'll go with Jane's death.

moving parts involved with Lydia and the Czechs
I feel like she possess a bigger threat than Todd & outlaw uncles crew.
Lydia doesn't want Walt dead, though, she wants him cooking. Threatening his family is the leverage that she will use to force him into it. I think she'll use Todd's uncle's crew to engage in some hostage taking, probably just taking over Walt's house/family. Lydia is desperate with the plunge in quality and profits. She's shown that she is capable of being completely ruthless. Todd is also ruthless if not very bright and his arse is on the line too so his uncle supplying the muscle again makes sense and is karmic payback for Walt using them to kill all of Mike's guys.
Another direction would be for Walt to pressure Jesse to cook again but I don't see any leverage for that. Maybe Walt sells him out and he is forced to cook or be shot.

Sorry. None of that is evil to me. It's not wanton killing. It's killing with a purpose. Maybe not what a normal person would do, but Walt isn't normal. Like many super-intelligent people, he's a bit of a sociopath.
He never even had to start cooking meth
