It will probably be shown eventually, but I wonder who wrote "Heisenberg" on the wall of Walt's house. Could be the Czechs sending some sort of message, or it could be that Walt's identity was released as part of a nationwide manhunt and some of the crashing kids did it.
Assuming the spoilers are correct, this question will be answered later in the season.

After the garage door closed was the most amazing TV I've seen in years outside of a red wedding.

I consider someone with no conscience to be evil. Walt has no conscience.
I think you just want to pull for Walt, which is fine, but you are in the minority if you dont think he's an evil guy. The people who know him the best (His wife, Pinkman, Saul) are all terrified of him.

Not getting into spoilers, but his neighbor's reaction to seeing him should tell you something.

I have no knowledge of any spoilers so I'm free to speculate.
The neighbor's reaction in the flash forward leads me to believe Walt fakes his death.

Hmm that is interesting. I haven't considered that. These next 7 episodes are going to be heavy.

Yeah, he still has the cleaner's card. Or was it a vacuum cleaner salesman?
Either way. He has the half million it will take to remove his family from the situation.
Now, he obviously left with a significant portion of his money. He bought an illegal M60 which ain't cheap, and he left a hundred on the counter for a 7 buck Denny's breakfast.

He doesn't want to kill people
Killing ten people in prison isn't "pragmatic" no matter how you spin it.
And Mike was pure pride and ego.

I'll give you MIke, but the ten guys in prison had to go. They were going to flip. There was no way to continue the "hazard pay" even if he wanted to. It had to be done.

People keep saying this, and I don't get it. Walter isn't evil to me. He's pragmatic. He does what he has to do and no more. He doesn't want to kill people. He does it when he thinks he has to. He always has a pretty valid reason.
He has killed and/or injured several people in order to further his own goals. There are several perfectly innocent people included in this. Walt stopped making meth for financial security for his family a long time ago. Everything now is about ego and power. If that isn't a form of evil then I don't know what is.

Mike is an exception. That was stupid.
To me Mike's death is a glimpse into how Heisenberg is just a vengeful personality that lacks common sense and reason. Right after he shot Mike, he instantly became Walt again, and then realized he could have gotten the names from Lydia.

Otherwise every great general or ruler would be considered evil.
Walt has several characteristics of Tyrants of the past.

Right, but when your line of work requires you to have 10 people killed while you look at your watch waiting for the time to come when they're supposed to be wacked, I think that can be considered on the grounds of evil.

Really curious to see what part crazy Todd is going to play in these final episodes.

Agreed. He's only a badass when he is in absolute control. As soon as he's in a tight spot he immediately becomes a pussy and starts begging.
Ya right. Walt is a killer and a survivor. If he is ever in a tight spot that was life or death he kills. He is the one who knocks. Don't let his survival instinct fool you for weakness.....he is FAR from a pussy! He has killed in the double digits to stay alive!

Agreed! I empathize with Jesse, I too have lost everything that matters to me recently, but I am not gonna go and throw away 5 million dollars because of it!!!!!

I just wanted to point out how amazing Dean Norris' acting was in this episode.
Probably the best acting in the entire series in that final scene by him, and that's saying a lot.
