I remember Saul saying the "there's no going back", but I don't remember there being any type of threat from the disappearing people. I took the "no going back" part as saying you can't come back and associate with people you knew if you wanted the thing to work.
Yeah, I don't remember as being a direct threat. Just that once you make that choice you have to live with it. Could be wrong, though.

Right, but "what's one more" is a direct quote from Skyler. She was fine playing Godfather until it affected her. I agree with your sentiment, Walt has come full circle and has forsaken his family for power, but Skyler is just as flawed in different ways.
To clarify my view, Skylar has her faults and weaknesses, no doubt. But she didn't act bitchy until Walt started disappearing for extended periods, etc.
Sure she was complicit at some point, but she felt she had no choice. Again, she's hardly perfect, but it's stupid to vilify her unless you're some adolescent macho dumbass.
And while part of Walt thinks about family, it's entirely selfish on his part. He's the nerd who tasted power and it corrupted him. It exposed the sick frick underneath.
Some people still don't accept the fact that, as entertaining as he was, Tony Soprano was sadistic, untrustworthy thug.

Right? because that's the only explanation? It couldn't be that skylar picks and chooses when she develops a conscience and treats Mr. Heisenberg like abject garbage while all he tries to do is provide for his family. She definitely doesn't pull some nebulous moral rectitude from her arse when convenient, while ordering "just one more" hit less than a week ago (at most). No, the only possible explanation is you're an adolescent dumbass. Nothing to do with Skylar being a worthless fricking excuse of an ungrateful bitch. frick her, frick Marie, and frick Jesse. frick em all right in the arse. Heisenberg forever!

Just saw the episode finally. Just unbelievable. The phone to Skylar is going to win Cranston another Emmy.

I hate skyler as much as anyone, but you have to admit skyler is a pretty realistic character. Women are crazy anyway, add in all that she's been through and it makes sense she would turn on walt

Yea it's realistic, i'm just being hateful.
I really do feel like she turned on Walt as soon as Marie told her he was in custody. Realistic? Yes. But she disgraced heisenberg and no longer deserves to be called his woman. Walt needs to take that cash and go blow it on hookers and booger sugar before the cancer takes him.
ok and i'm a bit drunk to, so ....but yea frick skyler

Stupid side Q: do we know why Walt chose "Heisenberg" as his alias?

I always assumed it was the first alias that popped in his head...although I'm not sure how much the actual Heisenberg's work contributed to chemistry. I thought he was more of a particle physics guy.

Werner Heisenberg died of cancer

Just watched last night's episode. My initial reaction is it fell just a little flat. I feel like combining hank's death and the family meltdown into one episode cheapened both of them a little bit. The nazis also don't seem worthy of being the show's final adversaries. They seem too generic to me.

I've thought this as well. They are not as interesting as Gus and the Cartel.
Maybe they're not the final adversaries?

I don't see the Nazi's as "The Final Adversaries." Walt is his own worst enemy and he's created all these problems. The end is how he decides to handle them.

Ok bad word choice. They're going to have to be one of the last "problems" Walt deals with though wouldn't you think?

Even though I am Team Walt, and still Team Walt after the last episode, I've been walking around all day telling my wife that my name is ASAC Schreder.

hey guys look at me, im the guy that likes to MEH everything when everyone else says its kickass.
see, its because the theory is that i will be cool by going against the grain and people will think im way smart because i didnt think the episode was good enough for my standards

I wouldn't have a problem with them being the final adversaries. Once you get into dealing drugs those are the types of people you get mixed up with. They also aren't exactly trustworthy so it fits.
