Yeah, but when Skylar confronted him at first and asked if he killed Hank she knew he was hiding something and that's what caused her to grab the knife.
True, but she also sat across the table and watched Walt hand Hank the dvd that could destroy his career. Hank's death was the trigger obviously, but feeling as if Walt was losing and on the run playing a big role IMO.

Just pointing this out, Walt never confessed to killing Hank, he told them they'd never see him again. Granted, for his family and the police, that means he killed them, but he never said he did.
Not technically, but he did say something along the lines of Hank crossing him right? Implying that he took care of him.

Anybody else think that maybe we're all really missing the point? Maybe Vince is just trying to tell a simple story about a man getting better at moving barrels.

I don't see it that way. She already knew he lost, she had accepted it was over, and told her son. She didn't grab the knife because Walt was on the run, she grabbed the knife because Walt ruined lives that day.

Walt has ruined plenty of lives. What's one more?

A lot when it's your brother in law. She was willing to go along with Walt because he was out of the Meth business and it was about making the family work. Well Walt's actions were responsible for destroying the family in the desert.

Right, but "what's one more" is a direct quote from Skyler. She was fine playing Godfather until it affected her. I agree with your sentiment, Walt has come full circle and has forsaken his family for power, but Skyler is just as flawed in different ways.

What did the dog crossing the road at the end mean? I bet VG threw that in just to troll us.

Right but Walt is the same way. He was more than willing to have Jesse killed, but when Hank's life was threatened he turned into a blubbering fool willing to give up 80 million bucks to save him.

Lone wolf.
Rabid dog.
Every dog has its day. The dog being Jesse.

Mangy old dog no one wants, thinks he's in control and got it made but really just a stray, wandering off into the sunset.
Or just a troll.
Or just a troll.

That just made me think, what if the NN's took the money and let Hank walk?

I don't understand why everyone thinks Walt is a villain. He's never hurt anyone that didn't have it coming to them outside of MAYBE Brock, whom he made a bit sickly for the greater good. He made it out fine anyway (just like Walt knew he would) and plus he's kind of a prick to guests in his home so it's not like he's completely innocent.

Walt has never wanted Hank dead, "he's family" and Jesse gave him no choice.

And handing over that tape they made to the DEA wouldn't have destroyed Hank and Marie's lives? Granted it's not death, but Hank would have still been destroyed. She went along with that just fine.

Me too, I hope Walt gets away with it.

no.
that was never the objective.
control of hank was the objective. this was walt's way of putting a leash on him so he could continue to do what he wants.
