Question about timeline and the final 2 episodes:

How much time do you think has elapsed since Hank found out about Walt? 1-2 weeks?

The reason I ask is because we know Walt comes back on his birthday. It was his birthday a few weeks ago right?

Has he been in hiding for over a year now?
I can't imagine that his family is still alive. I can believe that Jesse is alive though.

Either way, the last 2 episodes are going to be awesome!

I believe Walt goes to NH to start his new life and somehow sees or finds out the blue meth is back in circulation and realizes Jesse isn't dead...goes back to the rescue...

This. I think he starts out to kill Jesse, but when he sees that Jesse is being used as a cook slave, saves him. That's why he gets the machine gun and the ricin. He has to take on the supremacists and needs weapons. Also remember that Todd idolizes Walt. That will play a part in the showdown IMO.

This show just passed the Sopranos on my all time list, but not by much. Final judgement will hinge on the ending.

It will be tough, but he treats Jesse as family. He will soften his heart when he realizes Jesse is being exploited.... again.

It was more an issue of Jesse being stoned. Saul didn't want him getting baked on the curb.

Yeah Jesse and Walt have had some peaks and valleys.

I think ultimately Walt concocts a way to save Jesse and his family by sacrificing himself.

nope.

jesse couldn't forgive him already because of brock (no change of mind on torching the house..hank just arrived before he lit the match) and now that he knows about jane, he will kill walt with his own hands if ever given the opportunity.

I just want to see Jesse rage murder Todd, while Todd just stares off into the distant horizon and grins as Jesse bashes his head

Maybe, but I'm starting to think that now that Walt has nothing left he will want to build his empire again. Without his family, he only wants power.

No chance. Takes too long. Maybe if it was cyanide...

I am not so sure Walt buys it in the end. One of my theories, for the last two years, has been that Walt will lose his family and everyone he loves but will ultimately become the next Gus. The end will show his face as he finally realizes what he has sacrificed to become the king.

Walt has watched himself become the one thing he really thought he was incapable of becoming. The bad guy. He really thought in the beginning that he could just go into this type of business and innocently make some money for family and then get out. The drug business always changes people. As for Jesse. I think Walt has to be through with him at this point which is why he told him about watching his Gf choke to death. He finally realizes you can only help a dumb arse so much. And Jesse is the ultimate dumb arse!

I just wish Walt would think sometimes before he says shite. Hated him telling those lowlifes the 80 mil was right there. It's like Hank told him before he was killed. "Your smartest person I know, but you're so stupid if you think he's gonna let me live".

That's where I'm leaning. I don't see any way Walt takes his own life, especially not with Ricin.

The guy is fricked up beyond redemption.

I do agree with this. He did some fricked up shite, and there's no coming back from that.

quote:

But, intentionally or not, he put Hank in that position.

I guess I see what you're saying, but Hank did that to himself also. If he would have told everyone at the DEA office what's up, he would have never been in that position. He was afraid he would lose everything though. Also, Jesse didn't help matters either. They were basically both there to get Walt for revenge. I know Walt did some fricked up stuff, but they are no saints either.

quote:

Hank at least had principles.

I think had is the correct word here. We all talk about Walt's faults, so let's not leave out Hank's. Hank was basically willing to let Walt kill Jesse when they were supposed to meet in that public place when Jesse was wearing a wire. He said as much.

quote:

Walt gives up Pinkman like the bitch Walt is to save his own arse.

This isn't true either. Walt was free to go. He pointed out Jesse because he was being spiteful and wanted Jesse to get hurt. It wasn't because they were about to kill Walt.

quote:

She may be a schmuck, but, really, she just wanted a regular life and to protect her kids

Yeah, but she may have went about it the wrong way. If what you want is a regular life and to protect the kids then just leave. She knew Walt was basically gone. Flynn didn't help matters when he called the police. I don't think Skylar would have done that, but I could be wrong.

the cancer will kill him before he becomes Gus.

Walt's time is ticking.

Grantland's recap was awesome btw:

Walt was crushed when Jr turned on him to protect his Mom. He had a look of I just didn't expect that. Jr was everything to him. He's imo in I really don't give a frick mode right now where he's capable of about anything.
