Great recap.

nope.
jesse couldn't forgive him already because of brock (no change of mind on torching the house..hank just arrived before he lit the match) and now that he knows about jane, he will kill walt with his own hands if ever given the opportunity.
I think Walt will realize the shite he's brought down on Jess over the last two years and have a change of heart.
I think walt redeems himself in the end.

Walt's time is ticking.
Walt's cancer doesn't kill him. He has hair in the flash forward and makes it to his next birthday, which he wouldn't without chemo.
Also, no way Walt can become Gus. The recordings of his convo with Skyler all but ensure that he's been outed. Fring was a fast food chain owner, not a drug kingpin.

Grantland's recap was awesome btw:
I have read everyone of his Breaking Bad recaps. Easily the best writer of these reviews

Well then I guess we have been watching the show under the false pretense that his cancer is back.

Yeah, I think in Walt's twisted head he will see him and Jesse as even. Walt let Jane die, Hank died because of Jesse's actions...

His cancer is back. The other poster is assuming he beats cancer again because of the flash forward at the beginning of season 5.

Walt's final phone call was a masterful, ugly piece of work. There was an aspect to it that felt as if Gilligan and Walley-Beckett were performing the opposite of fan service. To hear Walt assail Skyler for all her shortcomings — her lack of appreciation, her meddling, her disdain, her disobedience — was fan shaming of the highest order. Walt was giving voice to those who've bombarded Skyler — and the remarkably poised actress who played the hell out of her, especially last night — for being the buzzkill in Walt's wacky misadventures. And it was terrible to hear. But this chillingly precise bit of writing functioned on multiple levels, and making Redditors feel bad was only the lesser of the three.
fricking spot on.
Some people have been cheering for Walt as if he was the hero, yet he is the villin. He has lost all redeeming qualities, yet the messageboards have been talking about Skylar like she is the devil incarnate. That phone conversation last night had to make a few people look into themselves and hate what they saw.
Skylar has been the protector of her family all along while Walter has been the threat.

how does he beat it without chemo? Him magically beating cancer without chemo is a pretty big stretch... I don't think the writers would take that big a leap when it really doesn't serve a purpose at this point. Everyone is waiting for him to die, either by cancer or guns n glory.

I think he has been lying about his cancer coming back. It is my crackpot theory

I think this would be a slap in the face to everyone watching and would be pretty pissed if they ended the show with this revelation.

Haven't read through the entire thread, but what are the theories about who wrote Heisenberg in Walt's house?

I agree. Every time he has said his cancer was back, it was to coax some sympathy out of another character.
I think Walter is fine. The only thing that makes me think he isn't lying is the time he started coughing on the rocks in the previous episode.

I don't know that he does beat it. The first time he beat it was pretty miraculous though as well. He could be getting chemo under his new identity or it could be that he has refused chemo and his hair grew back, resigned to his fate.

vandals is the most realistic theory. Obviously you could speculate that is was anyone.

A lot of people think it was Junior.

Hey! I'm adopting this theory.
This is the most probable with everything we know so far.
