Yeah I'm not going back there, but I think this is merely wishful thinking for Team Hank people.

Was anyone else half expecting Gomez to be revealed as a dirty cop out there in the desert?
Ive suspected Gomez for a while now and was almost sure he was gonna turn that shotgun on Hank and let Walt get out.

I just find it ridiculous that they has guns aimed on motionless targets and still managed to empty a clip with 0 hits.
Then allow themselves to get obstructed by car...and continue to riddle it with bullets. Not at the hood mind you....directly in the middle of the vehicle.

Yes. I had the same thoughts as we know Walt must escape somehow.

Great links. If Walt is still taking his medicine when he buys the m60 he must not have any plans of going out in a blaze of glory as it would be silly to continue treatment if he plans on dying. He is to practical for that.

The cliffhanger sucked but it is what it is.
Now, let's refocus.
Hank and Gomez either die or Walt calls off the guns and then we will see where it goes.

I feel pretty certain they both die

I know there are 3 episodes left but Jesse kept grabbing the door handle...I think he may make a run for it and get popped by Ricky Hitler

That was a retarded amount of bullets with nobody getting hit. Unrealistic.
AMC balancing the scales with the expert marksmanship on TWD.

No but if you read my post correctly, I was pointing out that a SINGLE shot can CRACK an engine block. That kind of firepower they had would have turned that engine block into swiss cheese, not exactly something that would protect them from that barrage.
"That kind of firepower"? It's not like they had 5 .50 cal machine guns and were all unloading armor piercing rounds at once. A group of 6 guys with some .223 rifles, a 12g shotgun and a few pistols with normal lead bullets isn't going to "turn that engine block into swiss cheese" in 20 seconds. Do you even physics? fricking dumbass.

The way this show has been built basically shows us that Walt and Jesse have to cook at least one more time together. Jesse is not dying in this series either. He has had too many close calls to die now. His character is breaking good not bad. Hank is going to be dead, which send Marie off against Sky and Walt hence his house being roped off with Heisenberg spray painted. Walt gets a disguise and him and Jesse team up to take down the Nazi's. IMO what would be great would a Fargo type ending where the money is just lost in the desert forever

I dont think the M60 is for the Nazis. There's way too much time between now and the end for the solution to be that simple IMO.

At first, I wasn't thrilled with the ending...
But if Vince wanted to compel people into online pissing matches about their knowledge of ammunition, the structural integrity of engine blocks, and their relative knowledge of sentence structure and reading comprehension... I'm now on board.

The 4.5 seasons worth of incredible TV were worth it. Now, at long last...we have arrived.

Agreed
Honestly for me when it comes to the end I will be happy with whatever. Nothing will ever match the intensity of episode 9 when Hank and Walt first encounter in the garage. That was 5 years of build up. I literally was stunned

Few thoughts:
Let's not overreact about the (admittedly overdone) cliffhanger. This is the same show where half of Gus walked out of a room, adjusted his tie, then died. We got over it. For all we know, Hank and Gomez are dead behind the car. Hank almost assuredly has to die; the final phone call was a dead give away.
I don't see Gomez being a mole at this point. Are the mexicans even involved at this point? Or was he supposedly a mole for the international gang? Assuming he's not, he's dead. That leaves Jesse. Walt lobbies for Jesse to live using the old "I can't cook without Jesse." He stays alive.
The big connection I got out of this was that the Nazi dudes must figure out where Walt's money is and take that. I don't see any other reason for him to go back with all those weapons a year later unless it's to get something back from them.
