On paper, it seems like the movie has a lot of potential. However, I’m skeptical because the ending of Spectre painted the next movie into a corner and I’ve got a bad feeling that Craig is going to sleep walk through this movie. Also, there will no doubt be an attempt to overreact to the #MeToo movement.

I like Craig but I felt like it was time for a new Bond with standard & fresh storylines that didn’t involve Bond battling inner demons or something from his past. Just give him a cool enemy, a compelling mission, and let him kick arse.

Tired of Craig. He rarely thrilled me as Bond.

Craig as Bond in Casino Royale was phenom. Also, Eva Green...yes please! Craig and Waltz are what got me to the theatre for Spectre. Those are really the only 2 I have enjoyed with Craig as Bond. I don't fault him for the other movies though. Sometimes the stories and character development created by the writers don't match the hype of other movies.

casino royale is the only good Craig Bond, so I won't hold my breath for this. Still, Danny Boyle at the helm is a very good development - dude rarely misses the mark.

Hope Craig isn't lazy on this one and that they rejuvenate the brand a bit. Brooding Bond has run its course.

Not if Daniel Craig is in it, terrible Bond.

Love Craig as Bond. Hopefully the story writing is better this time.

I liked Casino Royale and Skyfall. Spectre was meh as was Quantum of Solace. I like Craig as Bond but not expecting another film as good as Casino Royale at this point.

Spectre was just so disappointing.

I agree. I watched it again last night. Man, it could have been sooo much better. The ingredients were there - it was just missing . . . something.

Doubly disappointing because the pre-title sequence in Mexico City kicked so much arse.

fricking this, Bond movies are supposed to be fun, nobody wants to watch a mentally ill Bond.

I believe he has been great. People are just way more critical than ever right now

If its not the best thing they have ever seen, it sucked

Craig is very hit or miss.

Casino Royale - AWESOME
Quantum of Solace - TRASH
Skyfall - AWESOME
Spectre - TRASH

Based on pattern alone, this new one has to be awesome!! Plus I fully trust Danny Boyle to make a great movie.

Danny Boyle intrigues me. I like that.

I did not see the confirmation of Ralph Fiennes in the article returning as M. I hope it happens. I think he is a good M.

It should’ve been Craig’s 3rd movie. It should’ve introduced Spectre and let it be the menace behind the villains going forward. For the life of me I don’t get why they decided to make Blofeld Bond’s step-brother and waste him on one movie. It was also terrible to retcon all of the previous movies into the storyline. Should’ve been a build up over several.

Skyfall is overhyped but it is still a good movie. The problem is the third act is a mess and Bond being the old & tired agent only two movies after Casino Royale didn’t make much sense. Should’ve saved that as Craig’s last movie.

Quantum of Solace is forgettable but it has aged well. It’s not bad if you watch right after Casino Royale.

Casino Royale is arguably the best Bond movie ever. It has a great balance of action, drama, and depth. Even the music and cinematography are excellent. It could’ve been a starting point for some great Bond movies. The problem is every Bond movie since he’s been a slave to it. Every movie has to feature Bond battling something from his past or some sort of inner demon.

The end of Spectre means that Bond will have to come back from retirement (again) which means his love interest will have to die (again) which means his primary motivation will probably be revenge (again) which means he’ll probably go rogue (again).

I loved Casino Royals and I liked Skyfall; but Spectre had me bored. Can we go back to plots like Tomorrow Never Dies or Goldfinger?

Also would love to see a Bond on a boat chase in Louisiana again

Yeah, they don’t have to be the fluff that Brosnan’s movies became but just give Bond a simple mission like From Russia With Love, Goldeneye, or Thunderball. He doesn’t have to go rogue in every single movie.

This is one of my favorite Bond movies. Jonathan Pryce was a great Bond villain, one of the best ones in my opinion.
