Take your pick. I've been streaming the sopranos on hbogo and to me it's 10x better than BE. I watch BE every week but lately I've been havin to force myself to sit through it. What say you?

I won't deny that the Sopranos is one of the best series on TV.

But if you've been having to force yourself to sit through Boardwalk Empire this season you need to check your pulse.

I'd say that they're about even up to the last season or two of Sopranos, which weren't very good. This season of BE isn't as good as last, but is still very good. If you don't enjoy the show, you should probably stop watching. No one in the weekly threads has felt that way.

Yeah you are right maybe I'm the only one feeling this way. I love the whole mob concept in television and movies. I've watched all of boardwalk empire because I feel like everyone hypes it up as a great crime/mob series. Guess I can't get over the whole jimmy thing from last season. With that being said I hope Gyp goes down. (Haven't watched newest episode yet).

I think the opposite. The sopranos dragged a lot but BE has been decently fast paced.

Disagree, it's been getting steadily more boring for me with each passing season. Lately I've been falling asleep in the middle of episodes.

Way more happened last season than in the first, especially in the last 4 or so episodes.

IMO this season has been way better than seasons 1 and 2 and we are only 5 episodes in. Just need more Richard

The Sopranos takes a huge sh!t on Boardwalk Empire. Sorry but Steve Buscemi was way better as Tony B in The Sopranos than as Nucky in Boardwalk Empire. I find that Boardwalk is boring and a lot of the characters are just meh.

I love both but I am on the final season of the sopranos right now and also am about to start the new season of boardwalk. I'll give the slight edge to the sopranos because it is good for so long but B.E. seems to have more "insane" type moments just because of the era it is in. They are both excellent

Season 1 of BE was slow. I think mainly because it takes a bit for the characters to develop. Im glad i stuck with it though. It's great.

Yeah I think so too but as you said once they developed the characters it really keeps you on the edge of your seat. Can't wait to watch the new season
