As a white male, I wrote the show off thinking it wouldn't be relatable to me and my sense of humor, but then I stumbled upon an episode and watched. I've seen four episodes now and cracked up multiple times in all four. The show is actually pretty hilarious. Anyone else watch it and think its funny?

I liked it at first. Started off very balanced and self deprecating.

Then realized they had an audience and went ultra political. At that point I was out.

Very well-written with a great cast, but can get VERY preachy from time to time.

I agree. At first they made fun of the dad always trying to play the race card while the surgeon mom was like whatever. The mother in law was hilariously funny.

I like it when it doesn’t get too heavy handed and lays it on thick with politics and stuff like that.

Like I think the episode where he tries to fit in with the rest of the HOA is hysterical.

And the brother-in-law was a great character, but he was just a one season regular before he went on to be in that movie Blindspotting and do other stuff

Dre (the father) is one of the biggest assholes and worst parents in sitcom history.

When you read up on Kenya Barris, you quickly find out just how much art imitates life.

Rainbow is a great character, as are the parents. The children look like psychopaths.

I like the show and Charlie is my favorite character.

I always like when Dre is at work and is at the table with his coworkers. Dre always tells them what is going on and his coworkers always try to come up with a solution. They always come up with something to make me laugh.

Like others said, at first it was funny, but they started going in hard on the politically charged stuff leaning to awards the “dumb”.

Charlie and Ruby are the principal reasons for watching the show. Any episode where Dre doesn't go into the office is 100% worthless. The season where Dre and Rainbow had the divorce "scare" is unwatchable.

The scenes when they’re at Dre’s office are some of the funniest scenes on tv. His boss dropping casual racist comments is hysterical.

If you watched Blackish you would realize you would hate Whiteish.

I enjoy Blackish most of the time when it isn't too preachy when it gets that way it is awkward to me but I am not the sermons intended audience. It is like Last Man Standing in that regard, once the preaching starts the comedy stops.

I have also watched a few episode of Grownish (the spinoff with the oldest daughter) it is an interesting look into millennials in college.

I watched about a season or two of it and I couldn’t take how preaching and full of shite it is. When they spilt up, then it wasn’t even funny anymore. Haven’t watched it in a couple of years.

I liked it for a while. Had some funny stuff. But it pissed me the frick off when DeRay Mackesson (sp?) was called a fricking hero several times. I don’t know why...

But we quit watching it.

It's one of the few sitcoms of this decade that I actually enjoy. Some episodes are hit-or-miss for sure. But it's a fun show to watch.

The series has gone down hill the longer it has been on air though. May be time to call it quits soon.

I tried the spinoff, Grownish. Ok show, but I can't do it. Thought I would like it because I am still a fairly recent college graduate. But it is very much a show for the generation Z kids. As a guy who literally just graduated college 3 years ago, it feels like I am way too old to actually enjoy the show.

The next spinoff is Mixedish, based around Rainbow's upbringing with interracial parents. Im not sure if I will watch it yet. It needs to do something fresh or original, otherwise it will sink fast.
