Just started watching Black Summer tonight. It's a really good zombie show if you're into that sort of thing. Pretty suspenseful so far.

Yeah I loved this short series. What I really liked about it is that for the first time watching I felt a sense of dread. That was neat for me.

Half way through and it’s pretty awesome. Intense, gritty, action-packed...and dare I say realistic in how people would react to a zombie.

All of the reviews of reddit looked really bad, so I passed. This gives me hope that it might be good.

It was pretty decent. It gets on my nerves that guns have 200 bazillion rounds before they have to reload

It gets on my nerves that unless a character has a gun, they don't seem to care about always having a weapon. A hammer, butcher knife, sharpened broomstick, whatever. There are bad humans and bad zombies. But people will be standing in a diner or supermarket, and they don't immediately scour the building for something to defend themselves with. They pass by these houses and never think to walk in and simply look for and TAKE a weapon, even if it's just a screwdriver or table leg. And I know people will defend it as "realistic", but Jesus....isn't arming yourself realistic?

For some it would but not everyone thinks that way and/or is resourceful

I figured this thread would have had more response to it, but GoT is ruling the board. This is a good serious if you can get past some minor complaints.

I started watching it after GOT the other night. Enjoying so far.

You would think they would start figuring out to shoot them in the head.

I enjoyed the show overall, but there are definitely some very noticeable cringey aspects. The scenes outside of the stadium with everyone shooting guns at each other was hard to watch.

Yes, Hollywood movie makers. Also, they get wrong how weapons are actually used. Walking Dead was laughably bad. Those guys would be sniper accurate with pistols at 50 yards from towers and moving vehicles.

I swear this black guy shot about 30 bullets in this one clip for his pistol. And I’m on episode 6.. did I miss anything with this giant take over of that compound? I feel like they just jumped timelines. This show is alright but it’s notngood

I agree. The first couple episodes were intriguing with the chapter format, but the show poorly acted and has a ton of miscues and plotholes.

I enjoyed it. Not great but definitely enough adrenaline that if you enjoy this genre it’ll be entertaining. That one guy- Ryan- I think- poor dude spent half the series running for his life. He’d try to use a weapon- an axe or a gun- then he just end up running. Pretty sure the last time we saw him he was headed down the highway with about 15 zombies trucking after him. Haha. That’d probably be me.
