I'm worried about being able to trust the reviews for this movie. It seems like politics and Disney meddling could distort the numbers if it's not good. And idiot snowflake racists could distort the numbers if it is good.

We'll probably have to actually go see the movie to know if it's any good. At the moment, this looks like a "wait for Netflix" one, but the hype seems pretty legit. The hype was legit for Thor: Ragnarok and I was absolutely blown away with how good it was when I went to see it in the theater.

Yeah it's really weird because the only review posted by an entity or person known as "Fox" is Fox News, and their review did not contain anything in regards to social justice or the "struggle"

They also appeared to have loved the movie. Isn't it weird that the review you claimed to have read doesn't contain any of the critiques that you said were in it?

It's almost like........... you made the whole thing up.

In todays climate, no critic has the balls to say a negative thing about this movie.

The quoted and linked article. Doesn't exist. The qualities are mentioned in the title of the article. But they don't exist.

It may be a very good movie... but I'm fairly bleh about Black Panther as a character.

I don't think it is racism, or maybe it is and I have a KKK outfit stalking me in my dreams.

Rather its that I don't care for the character.

By which I mean, in the comics Black Panther used to be fairly interesting secondary character... which isn't an insult, lets face it he's not going to outsell most of Marvel's big names. He could be a bit of an arrogant arse but at heart he meant well.

The last fifteen years or so he's morphed from a bit of an arrogant arse to a Mary Sue character who is a complete and utter a-hole.

He has a cure for cancer! Which he won't share with the rest of the world. He declares war on Dr. Doom... despite both countries being land locked tiny nations (and the two characters never displayed any real hatred for each other to be honest). He marries Storm of the X-men! Even though the characters had never met before (the writer thought the most prominent black characters in the Marvel Universe should marry).

Sure, the MCU version of the character is different from the comics version of the character but with every other character that has had a movie made about them... at least I wanted to see them based on their appearances in the Comics.

I think he was trying to score some petty victory by making me post the link, because he's fricking 12 or something.

Oh well. 1-8 I guess.

I expect the leftist and left-pressured critics to rave about it. I expect neo-con trolls to blast it. I expect it to be somewhere between the two, pretty enjoyable. Otherwise known as the get out treatment

Yeah none of these linked reviews contain the critiques you were claiming.

You know why though.

I didn't say they were critiques. The reviewer seemed quite pleased that the movie had a "social conscience."

Sorry that you read it, saw that it says exactly what I said it did, and now you don't know what the frick to do.
