Ehh...you're a bit incorrect here. While you in correct in saying that a melanistic cougar is a myth, black morph jaguars and leopards are commonly called "black panthers." Pumas have many common names with "panther" being one of them.
After all, jaguars and leopards are in the subfamily Pantherinae and the genus Panthera, while a cougar is in the Felinae subfamily and the Puma genus.

Probably not the thread to ask this, but being the anal person I am I’ve watched all the Marvel movies in the order they came out in theaters. Just finished Thor Ragnarok. Black Panther is next in line, correct?

Isn't the real theme that successful black people should help unsuccessful black people try to achieve a better life? Definitely didn't feel like it was anti white.

I did find it humorous, with all the shite going down in Africa: slavery, warlords, horrible living conditions, Wakanda is finally going to use it's great knowledge and power for good.... helping out the brothermen in war-torn, 3rd world ... Los Angeles. Because that's where it would do the most good

It's actually a pretty even-handed movie. Not sure where the alt-right and lefty are coming from, but would be interested to know.

That dude takes the idea of the bad guy who gets killed and advances it as the theme of the movie.
The movie itself has competing ideals of that sort of violent conquest in direct competition with the ideal of black people helping other black people succeed through nonviolence and education. Quite literally, nonviolence and education wins out.
So yeah, I have no clue how he thought Killmonger's agenda was the theme of the movie when it and Killmonger get straight up killed off by the movie because of that agenda.

People look for racial undertones in everything because ... well idk why actually, just insecure or miserable I suppose. It’s set in Africa so obviously certain cultural features are going to be present. They’re also the most technological advanced society on earth which is pretty awesome and creates beautiful imagery. But the villain is black and a white guy plays a huge role in saving T’Challa/Wakanda so I don’t see how that’s anti white.
The movie is very good, just not the epic it’s praised as often due to becoming a cultural phenomenon. Fringe top 10 in MCU for me.

Yep. Very good movie, but not as great as the people who love it for its representation want it to be, nor as bad as the people who hate it for its representation want it to be. Very similar to Wonder Woman in that aspect.

Yeah, the only leg he can stand on is the shaky, falsely constructed leg that a brief reading of headlines of critiques would give you when they say things like, "The Bad Guy in Black Panther Was Right." This is not in the movie and is simplistic journalism at its finest.
