Just finished Striking Vipers. Yikes. That was hardcore SJW, but shot beautifully.

I know this is a spoiler thread so I"m here at my own risk. But can someone do a favor and post some *NON SPOILER* thoughts so far? Not necessarily a plot recap since I can find that elsewhere, just how do you like them? Do they hold up as good as classic BM that we're used to or has the quality taken a dip?
I saw on the home screen that it's only 3 new episodes which was a bit of a bummer.

I know the point of Black Mirror is to just always be like what the frick at the end of each show but my goodness Striking Vipers was disgusting. All the other ones where I’m like wtf at the end are still good but this episode I’ll never watch again

I'm not really sure where you got this from. To me it just seemed like a bunch of confused people. It wasn't really celebrating anything.
Anyway, I just finished the first one. Wow that took one of the strangest turns I can remember. I was left pretty speechless for most of the episode.
The ending was pretty good. Not completely depressing. I'm glad they left out his explanation to his wife and jumped ahead to the next "gift exchange"

Smithereens was pretty good. Maybe stretched out a bit too much but had some moments that really paid off.

I honestly thought the Miley episode would end like this:
Somehow the now awoke Miley would get her revenge but die. And the girls would have the only version of her left.
Then, the mouse trap her dad made would think the wobbling thing was a mouse and it'd zap her in a toy state.
Seriously had it all figured out. Happy that this defied expectations.

I’m In 2/3 so far. These episodes feel way different than previous ones imo. Not particularly in a good way.

I totally agree. The only semi good one was the Ashley Too one, but even that one felt different.
All 3 of these are bottom 5 episodes.
They are using the black mirror tech to push a social theme rather than to tell a story. Not a fan. Definitely let down by this season.

Bandersnatch was awful. And I'm assuming it's the reason there's only 3 episodes now. Upset about that.
