Its a guilty pleasure. I love Chuck and Wags, i just dont love the Axe and guys who work there always being so quick and witty and ball busting with every comment. Its like an Aaron Sorkin show where the greatest comeback or thought is always at the tip of their tongue.
Not crazy about the girl with the shaved head either.

Everyone at Axe Capital has encyclopedic movie knowledge. They carry on whole conversations in references and memes, often pretty obscure ones. It's an exaggeration of reality. One of the show creators is Andrew Ross Sorkin (no relation), a CNBC anchor, and if you watch enough CNBC, you know they do use a lot of movie references. A little of that goes a long way, and overdoing it rings false as I believe you're saying. I quit "The Newsroom" after a couple of episodes because I couldn't stand the Aaron Sorkin dialogue, and I didn't find the subject matter sufficiently compelling to overcome it.

I like her fine. She's their autistic Bud Fox.

Oh yeah! I think the 2nd season was better than the first. I could do without some of the cringe "showtime" stuff in it (talking about arse to mouth, BDSM, the random midget).
I like the Taylor character.

I forget, what happened at end of season 2?
Axe rigged the nutrition company's new product to tank the IPO and frick over Chuck, whose dad invested his life savings, then Axe is caught?
I dig the gender fluid genius.
Other than Westworld, Billions is probably my favorite show on HBO/Showtime right now.
And in case anyone was wondering, Season 3 premiers this Sunday 3.25 (I should have guessed based on the timing of the thread, but it wasn't spelled out in OP)

I love this show. Chuck and Axe make for great TV. I still think the final scene of Season 1 was one of the best finales I've ever seen. I'm a big Damian Lewis fan, but Giamani steals the show IMHO. I'm interested to see where they go with the boy-girl wonder...I have a feeling she will try to overtake Axe and be his downfall in the end.

Premiers tonight on Showtime. It was available last night through Amazon Prime. The first episode isn’ earth shattering, but I like where it’s headed

Crap I forgot. Did you also know most networks let you watch on demand the day of? We always watch STARZ and showtime shows early in the day.

I am going to watch the first 2 episodes of season 3 tonight

Tonight was good. I thought it really picked up.
The noose is tightening around Chuck. Pretty sure Bobby will walk of for no other reason than that need him back at Axe Cap for season 4.

I am going to watch EP 2& 3 today. Ready to see Ax get back at it.

Yeah it is interesting to see how they are going from having Axe dead to rights to this thing being about Chuck. I love the new AG too. Maybe I am just anti Chuck.
Dollar Bill was great again. Taylor and the quants (sp?) had me laughing the whole episode.
Wags is and forever will be the man. The backstory of Axe helping him get out of Lehman in time was enlightening.

Great episode
Loved the wags story
Papa Rhoades giving his son the kiss of death (you are dead to me son) after chuck squeezed him in the land was awesome

Any time an episode has a higher Wags ratio it’s a good thing. Wags is a goddamn national treasure.

Wags is my favorite TV character right now, and it’s not even close.

I did despise David Costabile when we was in Suits but he is killing it in this show.

I always like watching the scene where he flips out on the guy who dips his sushi in soy sauce.

She can't really overtake him since it's a family owned business and she serves only at his pleasure. She can prove to be his downfall though.
Even though he can no longer trade he can still fire her at any time and install someone else.
The show is somewhat silly but it's one redeeming factor, and the reason I watch, is that they show just how slimy the DOJ and it's cretins can be. I suspect they're even slimier IRL.
