I think it's more the tipping point for the season overall. Like the mountain man on the price is right, this is just that last wrong bid that pushes him off the mountain top.
Doesn't matter if it was a private joke or not, Kevin is his friend so he should be the very last person to joke about that, especially being a husband and father himself. Add that to fact that this is his second rape joke and this season is finally getting the media attention that it deserves.
Kinda hate that it has culminated on Jason to represent all of this, but he should of had enough self-awareness not to cross that line.

Did he even say...."I'm going to RAPE your wife"? I thought he said I'm going to "F**K*" his wife. That is two totally different sentences. Now I know he said he was going to tie his daughters up and make them watch but that is not rape, that is just demented. It's very possible I missed something but I didn't think he mentioned rape?

I think he was just joking around. Him and Kevin seem to be good friends. You saw last that everyone wanted him to put up Kevin but he didn't.

And this right here is exactly how CBS will handle this. They edited and last night's episode was all about Jason being a good guy and friends with Kevin

Yeah as sick of a joke as it was.....he didn't say "I'm going to rape his wife" as the media is playing it. Not defending what the guy said but to say that he mentioned raping Kevin's wife is completely fake news. With all of the other disgusting actions taking place in that house, this is the least of them that should get the attention.

Holy shite. At the point you mention tying up the man's kids and forcing them to watch you have sex with their mom, is there really that much of a difference between "I'm going to frick your wife" and "I'm going to rape your wife"?
Jason's problem is he tries too hard to be funny. You see it all the time on the feeds where he'll make a joke and no one will laugh. Even if he was joking, I'd like to think one of my friends making a joke about tying up my kids so they could watch him frick my wife would have some sort of impact on how I view him as a friend.
I'm sure BB will try to explain this and give Jason an acceptable edit, but the truth is he's a rodeo clown who has a fricked up mind. I would, however, love to hear how his pregnant wife feels about him flirting with Christmas and joking with Alex about fricking another man's wife.

You are trusting the edited show to much. I think that Jason does actually like Kevin but he has been talking shite behind his back all week. I don't think he meant what he said either but still was too far.

As far as Jason goes, I actually do think the context is important.
I went back and watched based on all the talk about it and he was specifically saying that in the event that Kevin betrayed him and put up Jason and Alex if he won HOH.
After all the shite Jason took for not turning on Kevin this week, he was basically saying an "I'll kill that mother fricker" if he does that to me after I saved him type off remark.
Extremely stupid, yes. But Jason is actually an extremely stupid guy. He's proven this time and time again.
He is also the only one left in the house other than Kevin that is actually a decent human being that hasn't been trying to terrorize and bully the target every week. While they aren't men enough to stand up and force the others to stop, they at least haven't actively participated and have been on good terms with every evictee so far.
Like another poster said, all of these other shite stains have calculated how to harass and torture the odd man out for weeks now. But this wasn't said to Kevin or in any way meant to threaten or intimidate him. He was laughing as he said it and was clearly just saying the worst thing he could think of to show how pissed and betrayed he would have been if he was betrayed by Kevin, who he had just saved.
Which, by the way, Big Sister and Garbage Pail Kid Alex were trying to convince him was going to happen if he didn't backdoor his best friend in the house. It was the same thing as this gang of gypsies trying to intimidate Jess into allowing them to evict her fricking boyfriend by not using the power she was given to protect him.
It was his way of saying I'm going to trust that my friend is not going to do what you fricking liars say that he is, but if he does he's fricking dead to me.

Sure, it sucks that his wife and kids have to hear something like that, but I do think it's easy for Jason to forget that these people he's never even met actually exist outside of the house and people he's been exiled with for months. They aren't real to him.
My bet would be that Kevin, won't give that a second thought when he finds out about it, and he and Jason will remain great friends. While Paul Alex Xmas and the rest of those scumbags will be dead to him when he hears the shite they've been spewing about him behind his back for weeks.
That matters to me. People shouldn't have to be told what should offend them. If Kevin has the type of relationship with Jason where he can shrug and say "Oh that's just Jason he says dumb shite like that all the time and I say crazy stuff to him too", then that should be the end of it.
If Kevin feels differently, then so be it. But we all know he and Jason are going to be friends after this.
