I generally agree with your sentiment, but I think Kevin would take it very personally, especially coming from Jason and that it was behind his back.
Between the two of them? Sure, Kevin would probably laugh it off, but (and this is me) if I heard my supposed closest friend in the house saying that about my family and to fricking Alex of all people, I would lose my shite.
But at least, these articles aren't just completely calling out Jason. They're also noting how Alex, who was campaigner against Jess for the butt poking and that her cousin was raped and killed is such a hypocrite by laughing at such a horrible joke.

Yeah, there's a distinction to be made between saying it behind his back and saying it to his face. Neither makes it okay, but if they were joking with each other when he said it, that's one thing, and probably not worth getting upset over, but saying it behind his back, even in jest is crappy. Even with your best friends, there is always a line you don't cross when joking, and I have a feeling that this will be across Kevin's, it would be for me.

After Steve ' s win, he would still be one of the first to go. He probably wouldn't want to come back anyway, after watching this season.
Barring some major blowback, this is the new norm for BB.
And given the media coverage on the Jason issue, has the topic been brought up on "The Talk"? Usually this is the stuff right up their ally. I know they discussed the Bachelor and all those filming rumors, but cbs show so they are covering it up I guess.
