re: Big Brother 18 - Season Long Thread (SPOILERS)

Liz got it last year and could barely get a sentence out of her mouth in the final speech. The idea is to have a shitty player next to you. (No one told Corey this a few seasons back) Neither James nor Paul can take Nicole and expect to win. There are a bunch of angry feminists in the house and they absolutely will vote for Nicole just so a girl can win.

I see Paulie, Meech, Victor, and possibly Corey voting for Paul, but no way the rest don't vote James which would be pathetic.
Meech would probably vote James because she is petty, and was working with James & Nat at the end. Nicole told Corey that if it was James vs Paul, she'd vote Paul because has a BB fan she thinks he played a better game (this was the same conversation that she told Corey that she'd take James to final 2 because he's the easiest to beat).
So I think Paul would probably have Victor, Paulie, Corey & Nicole. He would only need one more vote. If Paulie tried, I think he could definitely swing Z. Heck Bridgette isn't a big James fan, and if Day can be convinced that Paul played the better game then I think she'd vote for him. I think that James' only sure bets are Nat & Meech at this point.
And WG_Dawg, I agree that I believe I would've taken Corey over Nicole. I guess James figured he didn't really care since he could beat either in comps, but I would've figured that Nicole could get more jury votes than Corey if for no other reason than girl power. So yeah, I would've voted Nicole out.

My logic is that Meech is a superfan and in the end would vote on who played the better game.
I would have taken Corey too IMO. He's a lot easier to beat in endurance or mental comps, and Nicole is the mastermind of that pair so I would think Corey would be easier to beat in final two.

James winning this would solidify that the Jury is a terrible way to determine the winner
Posted on 9/15/16 at 11:24 am to VermilionTiger
I think the jury is a good way to select the winner, but I believe they should be given all access to what has gone on in the house. Withholding info from them isn't right.

What I never understood about the jury is why are they only allowed to watch the replays of the HOH, veto, and eviction ceremonies, and not allowed to even discuss what happened during the rest of the game? They should be given access to every episode, and the highlights from the live feeds so that they can get an accurate view of how good the final 2 actually played instead of having to rely on what they gathered in the house, and what the evicted HGs can tell them. The fact that the jurors do not have all of the information alone is proof that the winner vote is flawed.
ETA: Crimsonsaint, seems like we had the same thought. I was typing my post as you were posting yours.
I never understood that.

When is the second comp?
Posted on 9/15/16 at 11:41 am to lionward2014
I would have kept Corey and gotten rid of Nicole too. Corey won a few challenges after most of the Jury was decided, but before that, he looks like James II. Dense and only slightly competitive.

If Big Brother doesn't have their highest rated show on Wednesday with their darlings Nicole and James in it, the show needs to be cancelled.

I know one season a girl lost because of her DR confesssions, but hey if you don't want your game known to all then keep your mouth shut about it.
She didn't talk about her DR sessions, the Jury saw them at home on TV. That was back before they sequestered the Jury.

I think Corey explained it well last night. He knew he would be targeted because of his physical skills so he laid low until he had to. Since DE night, he's competed well in everything.
The Day Veto comp showed he isn't stupid either. Everyone likes him, and thinks Nicole was the one flip flopping all season. He can point to the all guys alliance he stuck with until James flipped it. Besides Paul, he had the best argument IMO.

Paul won part 1.
I may have missed it, but was part 1 endurance like it usually is? If so, I'm surprised Paul beat out both James and Nicole.

quote:nah. One of the GOATS lost because there was no sequester and they got to watch all DR sessions. You should be able to be honest in the DR without fear of backlash.

Who lost because of that?

Nicole wouldn't have beat Will even if they would've sequestered the jury.
But they don't have to let the jurors watch the show (and thus the DR sessions). All they would have to do is let them watch the live feeds (which don't include the DR sessions). Hell, take away all of their board games and Netflix, and tell them their only entertainment is watching the live feeds.
