Fox Force Five.

I guess I was the only one who liked it, it went nowhere.

I've seen episodes of Supernatural here and there but have never had the time to sit down and watch it from beginning to end. Finally got on Netflix last night and watched episode 1 and was completely blown away about how good it was from the start. I was shocked at how young Sam looked, and Dean was already on point. My GF hates anything scary and had her eyes covered a lot, but confessed that was the best pilot she had ever seen. It's hard to say this objectively, but I can't imagine not being hooked on this show from the beginning without prior knowledge of it.

Sarah Shahi was just so damn hot in that episode it was unreal.

Yeah, it's not a traditional answer, but season 1 (minus Omar) was set up really nice there, plus the "Who the frick is Avon Barksdale?" "Don't go answer no phones Bunk" "Given a frick when it ain't your turn" lines, And Avon knowing that something is up while he overlooks Orlandos. The scene between Dee and Avon-great stuff.

I am a huge Wire fan, so I probably put it higher than it should be.

For as shitty as Nip/Tick became the pilot was really well done.

Nail on the head. That first season was amazing...second, not so much, and 3+ = excrement.

ETA: I could say same about True Blood.

It appears the Top 3 winners are:

1) Lost
2) Breaking Bad
3) Miami Vice or FNL

I'll agree with Walking Dead. And to the guy who said Boardwalk Empire, I laugh at. Worst pilot I've ever seen.

Kudos to the Nip/Tuck answer. I forgot how much I loved the first two seasons. FX has some serious magic

Besides all the ones mentioned, EZ Streets was a great pilot, although the show died after one season I believe. Breaking Bad & Six Feet Under are two of my favorites.

Really, the worst ever.? Directed by Martin scorcese. In fricking believable sets, costumes, lighting. Great cast and their performances are top notch. I can see not agreeing with it as a great pilot, but it is hardly the worst pilot ever.

Forget the gunshots, forget the black daytona spider (Ferrari) all you have to do is hear Phil Collins in the air tonight . And then you saw the wheels on the street and the drums kick in you knew shite was about to go down. Miami vice ruled Fridays for like three maybe four years . Soundtracks were awesome
