Best Star Trek series?

Alright, give it to me straight here. Which Star Trek series is the best?
I'm not a huge Trekie. I saw one movie and played the Borg video game on PS1 when I was a kid. I watched probably the first 5 episodes of the original show a few weeks ago and have seen bits and pieces of the season with the bald captain. So lay it on me M/TV board. Which series be the best?

O yea... Do any of them have true continuity or is it kind of a new story every time?

They're all great in their own way.
I really love The Next Generation though. I remember watching that with my dad when I was very little and running around pretending to be the Enterprise going to warp speed during the credits.
I also have a fonder impression of Boyager than most. I remember watching that with my dad as well.
Deep Space 9 is very interesting. I need to see the whole series but it's good.
The original series is probably what I've seen thenleast but it's entertaining.
Enterprise is a unique look and entertaining for what it is but i don't remember much.
I haven't seen the latest series

You are just blacking out how bad it was compared to the other shows.
Having said that, I was finally starting to like it when it was cancelled. Out of all of the series, I liked the Enterprise Dark Universe the best. It was pretty cool that they had a completely different Opening score for the dark universe.
Dark Universe Opening
TOS always has to be near the top because it started it all.
TNG had a great mix of characters. Also is was mind blowing when it came out because bringing back a cancelled series hadn't happened in my lifetime to that point. There were plenty of filler episodes but they had a solid large cast. And it was plenty fun to hate Wesley.
DS9 had a good premise with some flaws. Avery Brooks and his high pitched squeaking were offset by some good stories and excellent acting by the rest of the cast. Hell, Garak alone elevates the show near the top.
Voyager. Worst overall cast. I didn't care that they went with a female captain. Just didn't like Janeway. They tried way to hard to make her a female version of Piccard. Didn't work for me. Chakotay might be my least favorite cast member of all Trek. He couldn't have been more bland. Janeway was already bland. We didn't need the second in command also bland. Neelix and his schtick got old. Poor Harry, never enough time for him to develop much.
Having said all of that, there were plenty of good Voyager stories. They had the most creepy villain of all the shows with the folks who stole body parts. That was pretty twisted to have that red shirts face removed and worn by the Vidian.
Voyager should lose some point because they demystified the borg. Used them way too much and by the end, they defeated them too easily.
Trek had a bad habbit with the reset button time jump episodes. Enterprise it was all about time. I just didn't like constant time resets. Enterprise wasn't horrible, just overall, didn't love it. Phlox was great. Hoshi was hot. So was T'pol. As I said before, I was finally warming up to the show when it was cancelled.
Haven't watched discovery. so can't judge it.

The Clone Wars is great. Several seasons.
Start with that.
Rebels is pretty good over all.

Star Trek - The Next Generation

Original Series and it isn't really all that close.
Next 2 are close, DS9 and TNG. If you want a more traditional approach (with some really fine acting and stories - once they got their legs under them and ditched Roddenberry's crazy notions about Wesley), TNG is the answer. I prefer DS9, but quality wise is really close between those two. DS9 was ahead of its time, with a more threaded storyline, more persistent civilian and opposing characters that were highly atypical for an episodic show of that era.
Then, you get down to Voyager and Enterprise. Each has its merits, but neither live up to the standard of the earlier three series. The best thing about either of them is The Doctor (Voyager) and he is one of the very best characters of the franchise.

I know Garak is popular, knee-jerk suggestion as the "killer app" for DS9 (and it was a fantastically written and acted character), but I come back to Gul Dukat - Gul Dukat is the finest, most fully developed, 4-dimensional villain in ALL of film/television science fiction.
Period. (Yes, I know all about HAL, Darth Vader and Khan Noonien Singh.)

Discovery at #2? Better than TOS?

Meh. It doesn't hold up, that's for sure. Not with TOS or DS9 - not for my money.
Deus ex Wesley is almost a deal breaker for like a season and a half.
Now, Picard and Data are great - 2 of the best characters EVER. Worf is great, but DS9 Worf is better than TNG Worf, so that's a push - at best. I don't get the hate Avery Brooks gets as Sisko, but I was fan of his back to Spenser for Hire/A Man Called Hawk.
TOS had (real) Kirk, (real) Spock, (real) McCoy and (real) Scotty. That's like the fricking 1992 Dream Team of Star Trek characters.

This was my favorite, particularly the last couple seasons when the final storyline really kicked in.

Are you insane? Discovery should be at the bottom of almost any list.
TNG fo the full on win.

The Original series
Voyager
Enterprise
The Next generation
Deep Space 9
Haven't seen the latest.
The thing about this franchise is that they are all outstanding and watchable. DS9 is my least favorite and yet I can binge watch it today and enjoy the heck out of it.

I guess I’m in the minority. As I progressed through the shows, I found myself liking TNG less and less and liking DS9 and Voyager more and more simply because of the plots.
