With Harmon back, Community will reclaim the throne this fall, or at least share it with P&R.

And to that guy who called it The Ron Swanson Show.

ETA: Casty. Why is it not showing up?

Dude c'mon, that's not a one horse show. The lead is considered one of the funniest female comedians of all time. Adam Scott, playing the straight man (no homo), was the lead on a well received cult show. Aziz Ansari has had comedy specials, tours consistently and done big Hollywood movies as a 2nd lead (30 mins or Less).

Not to mention, Aubrey Plaza and Chris Pratt-both on the verge of being A-listers. Aubrey is an "It Girl" and Pratt has been apart of ZD30 and about to lead a fricking Marvel comics franchise. Then, add in players like Rashinda Jones(no slouch in the movie department), Rob Lowe and the rotating guest stars that steal every scene.

Now, lets compare to that cast to BBT outside show credits. Priceline commercials? Rosanne 15 years ago?

PandR has the deepest funniest cast on TV.

Same guy you replied to.

Parks and Rec is IMO the GOAT sitcom. Ron Swanson is an awesome character, but the show is so good character wise you could take him out completely and have a great sitcom. Leslie Knope on her own without the ensemble great cast and characters still gives you a sitcom on TV.

Years from now when people are discussing the best sitcoms of all time, Parks and Rec will be right there with Seinfeld, Cheers, AD, MASH, etc. I would say The Office, but Parks and Rec crushes The Office on every level.

I "literally" just felt it move. Ann Perkins.

and if we're being honest the Ron Swanson Show isn't what it used to be (though i still enjoy it).

Parks and Rec has a ton of characters who are downright hilarious.

Ron, Leslie, April, Andy, Tom, Gerry, Chris, Donna.. And then even recurring characters like Perd, Jean Ralphio, and councilman Jam.

Far from just being the Ron Swanson show

Did the people complaining about The Neighbors watch more than the first few episodes? I'm thinking they didn't. I hated it at first too, but it grows on you. The celebrity naming goes from ridiculous concept to well played gimmick over time, and being alien they are able to do a good job of poking fun at humanity. Calling it the best sitcom is a stretch, but for those of you that gave up on it early, it definitely got better and has become pretty solid.

exactly. I was sure I would hate it and only caught the last few episodes of the season because it took me that long to give it a shot. I only was halfway interested in it because I would catch a minute or two of it when the DVR recorded Modern Family and The Middle. Those couple of minutes here and there were funny enough to try it out.

Catching up on Hulu now and glad I did. Halloween-Ween might be my favorite so far.

Jackie Joyner Kersee is pretty hot BTW.

disagree. To me she went from the star of the show to a huge annoying character. Ron Swanson and Andy Dwyer are the best parts of that show. Poeller is funny but I don't find her Leslie Knope character entertaining in the least. She's the Lisa Simpson of P&R.

I agree with this. I thought it was offensively terrible at first, but it is a solid show. Calling it the best sitcom on television is still ridiculous though. It's probably closer to 2 and a Half Men than something like Community on the LCD scale

Always Sunny has brought it way harder and much longer than I thought they would ever be able to.

Hell, last season had two of the top 10 episodes of the series IMO. The Maureen Ponderosa Wedding Massacre" and "The Gang Dines Out".

Is Eastbound & Down considered to be a sitcom? Cuz I might vote for that over Parks & Rec.

Eastbound and down started incredible, but each season is only half as good as the last. They must have put together an insane 4th season to get picked up again.

I dunno. I thought that third season was hilarious -- maybe even better than the first -- and that was after I was a little disappointed with the Mexico season. The episode where Kenny has to deal with his buddy Shane's death was one of the funniest things I've ever seen.

The league, new girl and wilfred top all of these.

Modern family, community, parks & recs are all good though

It had one great season. I wouldn't go that far.
