Maybe not a thread for everybody, maybe for some. What are the best movies to watch stoned as hell? Haven’t been able to smoke at all this summer because of an internship, and was preparing to finally have a night of getting blazed and kicking back and watching a few movies.

What are some of the best movies, or t.v. shows for my fellow weed friendly friends to watch while you’re high? I don’t mind comedies, but my favorite stuff to watch while I’m stoney baloney is always action/adventure stuff. Have HULU, Netflix, Prime, and HBO Max. And before the accusations, no I’m no pothead, haven’t smoked in 3 months or so.

The Musical Tommy if you are really tripping.

For a typical stoner buzz probably the Pineapple Express or Up in Smoke

Coraline

Smoked a fatty outside the pecan land mall in Monroe back in college days and watched it in 3D. Also had the xl popcorn with the m&ms dumped inside. It was glorious.

High action adventure stuff

Just binge the fast and furious movies and take a bong hit every time Vin Diesel says “family”

I’ve never watched it high, but City of Lost Children seems like a good candidate.

I haven’t smoked in years, but in college when I did I loved animated movies. Anything Pixar while high is gorgeous and would leave me staring at the screen with my mouth open in awe.

Also, Lord of the Rings, Avatar, Star Wars etc with amazing set pieces of action and CGI.

I used to love sci fi, especially with interesting visuals and concepts to dazzle the stoned brain. Think along the line of Interstellar, Ex Machina, Arrival, Annihilation, etc.

I haven't smoked pot since college. Watching movies was on the list of things to do when the times I smoked. There is only one thing to do when high.

The animated 1977 movie, The Hobbit, seemed like a good one to watch while wasted, but my best friend and I had to leave just a few minutes into it, because it was freaking us out.

Agree with bad93ex on Half Baked.

A few Movies that are good to watch high:

Wayne's World (1992)
The Matrix ((1999)
Bill And Ted's Excellent Adventure (1989)
sTRIPES (1981)
T2 (1991)
Office Space (1999)
The Road Warrior (1981)
Blazing Saddles (1974)
Excalibur (1981)
Sin City (2005)
The Big Lebowski (1998)
Desperado (1995)
The Ghost and Mr. Chicken (1966)
Fast Times At Ridgemont High (1982)
Heavy Metal (1981)
Young Frankenstein (1974)
The Song Remains the Same (1976)
The Lawnmower Man (1992)
It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World (1963)
Treu Romance (1993)
Caddyshack (1980)
Enter the Dragon (1973)
Grandma's Boy (2006)
Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle (2004)
