Best Montage/Music Video Sequence in A Movie

Aside from the original Rocky running sequence, I'd say the two that really stand out are the Inglorious Basterds David Bowie Sequence and the opening and Closing of Purple Rain.
Any of these, if they were just music videos, would be considered all timers.

No time for caution. Interstellar is pretty good.

The training and driving scenes from Rocky 4 are epic. The man runs up a f'n mountain. How can that be topped?

this is arse sliding
Does it count as a montage if they repeat the same scene over? But in slo-mo?
But that rock drop at the end? Full House, coming up.
In the extended version they actually show them arse sliding again. So Rad has that going for it.

I thought I knew all the great campy teen comedies of the '80s. I'm a bit embarrassed to admit I've never even heard of this one.
Some of the comments are comedy gold, though, especially the one at the top that insists this would never be allowed today. The commentor seems to be completely and bizarrely unaware that water slides are still a thing.

The "bad day" (helicopter paranoia) montage in Goodfellas is pretty good - as is the "Jimmy's clipping everybody" (Layla) scene from the same film.
That scene in Boogie Nights (Sister Christian) - up there.
Most of Flash Gordon and Heavy Metal.

Since that's what I came to post, I'll add:
Hot Rod Riot Montage
Dewey Cox Walk Hard Montage (starts at 1:50)
Pan Remembers

The answer is still usually The Graduate.
Very influential.
Directors still reference this montage to this day.
Great song, great directing. One of the best examples of song and scene perfect marriage to relate the mood and feelings of the protagonist without words.
