American Werewolf in London
Except for the first changing scene where he looks at and reaches for the camera. That always irritated me in that movie.
Edit.. crap, now I wanna watch it again.. Been a long time.

The Wolfman is the gold standard IMO.
I've actually never seen this one. Pretty good, eh?

Anyone one notice that werewolf movies generally aren't about a specific werewolf.... I.e. Howling, underworld, etc. etc.
The werewolf (or often times werewolves) is just an ancillary character and you don't get to experience the pain of the werewolf in their human form.
The movies in which you do, the original wolf man, American werewolf in London, are generally much more enjoyable.

American Werewolf in London & Dog Soldiers are my top two, although they're both vastly different types of movies.
I also enjoy Silver Bullet and have a soft spot for Bad Moon, which really isn't a good movie, but the hero of the film is Thor, the family German Shepherd, who straight up fricks up the werewolf, so that adds like 50 bonus points for me.
