This has become such a mess. Kind of wish now they had just offered Bale a pile of money to do BvS.

for better or worse, and fanboys don't want to admit it, but Christopher Nolan was the absolutely worst thing that happened to the DCEU.

He was the best and worst thing that could happen to the DC Movies as a general film group as well.

The tone of the Dark Knight trilogy is what gave us Man of Steel and Snyder.

----

Breesus I did watch the deleted scenes, I don't make judgement calls on deleted scenes - Harley looks and sounds pathetic in those as well, but was fine in the non-deleted scenes

Where was I defending Snyder?

You're a one trick pony.

You could turn this conversation into a drinking game.

I don't follow the comics like the rest of you, but as a movie fan, why don't they just write a blank check to Nolan and Bale and let them do their thing.

Yeah, I mean why not bring in Terry McGuiness into it?

Once again, Nolan and Bale have stated that they're out of the superhero business. Nolan repeated it just this week.

Zack Snyder is gone.

Besides, Bale is a year younger than Affleck. Half of the bitching in here was over Affleck's "advanced age".

The Flying Fox transport plane they're introducing in JL looks like something out of Batman Beyond. Looks awesome.

The irony is that they're making the Nightwing movie that you asked for, but that movie will delay your trilogy for another decade.

I don't think that's a problem for either guy. Hollywood can make a 60 year old man look like he's 30 if they want to. They chose to make affleck old on purpose, not because of his age.

The real issue with bringing Bale back is it opens up a whole bunch of cans of worms within the universe. Basically connects Nolanverse with the JL universe, so all these crazy horrid things happening in Gotham and none of these super heros are coming in at any point? Also what about the ending of the trilogy, do you have to bring JGL back in some sort of role to bridge the gap?

It would've been all kinds of messy if they tried to get Bale back

Affleck just debunked the rumor and said that he's in for The Batman. If they're phasing him out, it won't be well into the 2020's.

He also said he was directing it only to drop out a few days later. I like Affleck and I hope he stays on, but him saying this means nothing, IMO.

what i really wanna know is a robin type suit going to look good on the big screen? i mean, it's too colorful in my opinion.

Oh shite, now you've done it. The Marvel fanboys and Man of Steel haters will be on here telling you anything less bright and colorful than Liberace at a Pride festival is completely wrong.
