Much better narrative with this cut IMO. The story flows better and some things are better fleshed out. This simple addition of Clark Kent doing some investigative journalism and the fleshed out African sequence lends itself much better to a logical flow. The addition of some scenes explaining and tying together Luthor's machinations were much more linear. Some of the added shots are beautiful as well. The funeral sequence at the end was much more resonant and the shots evoke much more feeling this time around. If you hated the tone the first time around- your opinion will not be changed- but the narrative has improved. I gave it a 7 out of 10 before, and it will move up to about an 8 out 10 after this cut. In short, I don't think it will change the minds of people who hated it, but the people who liked it warts and all will feel better about it.

Crazy they couldn't just release this. And Snyder gets shite on when his complete version makes sense.

Does the fight between Batman and Superman still end for the same lame reason?

So what you're saying is if it was shite before, it's still shite, just now with better narrative?

They really needed a big action sequence of Superman fighting some hi-tech humans with advanced weaponry a la Intergang in the first 45 minutes to further cement him as a protector- along with the heroic montage and v/o. The only thing I really missed in this film were some stunning action sequences (filmed in the daylight) that were equal to the battle of Smallville in MOS. If I could have had that, I would have been happier.

Not really, when you approach that length you probably lose one screening per screen per day.

Minds will not be changed over this cut. Either it will further your enjoyment or further your dislike. It was a different movie with different aspirations.

And they needed all the screenings they could get in before word of mouth about the movie got out.

Yes he is. Eisenberg remains miscast. Snyder did himself no favors by re-inventing Lex Luthor. An older actor with physical and emotional gravitas could have lent much needed weight to fit the tone it aspired to have.

There is a digital copy to watch on the web. Didn't feel guilty as I paid at the cinema and have the ultimate edition pre-ordered. Very good quality.

Not if it's the final screening of the day.

I reported the link I found on primewire. I had to make sure it was the new ultimate version before I made my complaint. You might want to fact check me on that.

It's a very underrated movie. It has a few major flaws people pounce on but it's not near as bad as some pretend.

Whining about the "dark tone" makes me

more isnt going to fix this movie. You are still going to have long drawn out not that awesome action sequences. still got the stupid martha bit.

you still have jessie as lex. He wasn't terrible but not right for this movie. You also still have the WW storyline which really didnt fit into the movie that well.

it was a turd. maybe you can buff it a bit, but it was a shitty movie.

I thought the Batman fight sequences were top notch. Loved the more brutal Batman, and Affleck was a very good Bruce/Batman.
