Not all straight males are grumpy, fat old guys who are miserable because of the failure of their lives.

Why on an Earth wouldn’t a straight male that’s secure in himself go watch Barbie?

The wife saw Mission impossible and Oppenheimer with me. I returned the favor by going to Barbie with her.

Oppenheimer crossed $700 million worldwide today and should be at $718 million globally by tomorrow evening. For an R-rated historical epic with a three hour runtime, that is absolutely incredible.

I took my wife and daughter. It’s kind of man hating but also it’s pretty entertaining

It'll likely pass 800 mil. The budget is only 100 mil, so hell of a win for universal.

Because so many more saw Barbie. If the real difference is just the number of kids families took, maybe we're not doomed.

If people took kids, it's OK.
If one is a woman, and played with Barbies as a kid, I guess there's nostalgia.
No one else should go see it. Just wait for it to come on Max like I will.

I had Hot Wheels and the orange track made for them. If they make a Hot Wheels movie, I'll wait for it to hit Max.

It’s PG-13. This isn’t a kid’s movie. Families weren’t taking their young kids.

Why should no one else go see it?

Just a quick update for those who are still following the progress of these two films, as of yesterday Barbie is now the biggest box office hit in the history of Warner Bros. while Oppenheimer has become the second highest grossing R-rated film of all-time.

It's highly likely that Barbie is going to settle somewhere around $1.4 billion worldwide while Oppenheimer finishes somewhere north of $800 million. What an impressive run by these two films.

While folks will go back and forth regarding the content, this is a huge win for movie goers. It clearly shows if you produce an original idea, whether serious or lighthearted, folks WILL go see it.

Here’s to hoping it maybe spawns a bit more of that in production companies.
