It's nihilism at its finest and a complete denial of how males and females compliment each other.
You definitely don't know what nihilism means.

“Barbenheimer” is more than just a meme. It’s a full-fledged box office phenomenon.
Over the weekend, moviegoers turned out in force for Greta Gerwig’s neon-coated fantasy comedy “Barbie,” which smashed expectations with $155 million to land the biggest debut of the year. But they also showed up to see Christopher Nolan’s R-rated historical drama “Oppenheimer,” which collected a remarkable $80.5 million in its opening weekend.

Interesting to note that even though this is an amazing number for Barbie, it's a bit less than everyone thought just 24 hours ago. It had no growth yesterday from true Friday, which is not normal.
80 million for an R rated 3 hour film is simply amazing.

Those seem pretty incredible numbers, especially Oppenheimer. A three hour movie about a pretty damn serious topic…

I think it'll have a huge drop off next weekend.

I read one review that interested me.
Apparently, there is drama in the movie about Barbie moving between her world and the “real world”.
It’s not really a kid’s movie from what I understand.

I do know what it means. Nihilism treats human beings as widgets, not really anything but a socially constructed thing. For example, it posits that all objects/beings are just atoms and there's no distinct other than the form (form of a table or form of a human, but fundamentally the same-just a series of atoms). No purpose to any form. Everyone is meaningless and purposeless unless you "assign" a purpose arbitrarily (like the trans movement claims no one is a gender until its specifically assigned).
Gender-malleable wholly dependent on your choice
Sexual behaviors-malleable and wholly dependent on your choice
Gender roles-no such thing other than what roles are culturally constructed/assigned, but completely arbitrary and malleable otherwise
Nihilism denies there are any distinct parts with specific purposes (like male and female gender roles have no basis in biology and are just arbitrarily assigned).
quote:
Nihilism (/'na?(h)?l?z?m, 'ni?-/; from Latin nihil 'nothing') is a philosophy, or family of views within philosophy, that rejects generally accepted or fundamental aspects of human existence,[1][2] such as knowledge, morality, or meaning.[
This messaging, at it's core, is in fact nihilistic (women and men weren't made to compliment each other, but can be either feminine or masculine).
You don't get to the idea of transgenderism or "men and women are exactly equal" without first being nihilistic-there's no meaning or purpose to anything, just random arbitrary assignments.

I wonder if WBD has already locked up Gerwig for James Gunn’s DCU? She did recently say she'd like to make a superhero movie

Very strong international numbers

Warner Bros.'s Barbie debuted with an estimated $182.0M internationally. Estimated global total stands at $337.0M.

She's signed on to do two Chronicles of Narnia movies for Netflix next.

Since when has Ken ever been a focal point of the Barbie brand? It’s called Barbie for a reason, no one cares about Ken.
Exactly, so when Barbie came out into the real world, she was treated like a Ken. That shocked her but the funny part was that in the end, she realized she was treating the Ken, with how they are supposedly treating women back in the day. Of course, instead of a teachable moment, the women director decided to go all in on woman power and kept the Ken as a second class citizen with no voice.
Also one of the primary point of the movie that they keep on harping on is that being a parent sucks and being a successful childless woman is the best thing ever. The mom supporting character in there was a total bitch in her work enviroment. Where as someone who was single and powerful was nice and friendly.
That is why people are raving about Gosling for Oscar performance and not any of the Barbies.

Little Women
But yeah, let her bring her roll to a super hero movie. 'Embrace the suck,' as they used to say in 'Nam.

Boyfriend and I went to go see it. We walked out. Yup. Two gay guys walked out of the Barbie movie.
It was just…
stupid.
The whole plot hinges on every single character falling into a stereotype and being easily duped, misled, or programmed/reprogrammed. Every character has to be gullible in order for the entire plot to work.

Sources tell me #Barbenheimer tonight SUN is...wait for it...going HIGHER than studio estimates! #Barbie looking more like -10% and not the -25% WB estimated. #Oppenheimer closer to -13% instead of -18%. Final opening wknd #boxoffice grosses might climb to about $162M & $82M!
